Speaking of Tri-stat, I did visit Allen awhile back. He says that he does not have the roll out mat. Someone picked that up on the day that he moved south. Who took it? Who knows....
I also have the tri-stat book he borrowed. Is this the book we will be using? If so, I could drop this off at Vince's house sometime.
Thanks for picking that book up OG. Too bad about the mat. It is lost to the mists of time.
As for the book we will be using, yes, the Tri-Stat DX book is close enough to Silver Age Sentinels that it should be fine to use that for character generation and to learn the rules. I skimmed through it and with the exception of a few Attributes that don't exist in SAS (such as "Own a big mecha" and "exorcism" they are virtually identical.)
I am a little leary of running a Justice League game, 'cause the power level of the characters is so off the map. I mean, how do you make a game challenging for Batman AND Superman. Or Martian Manhunter AND Hawkgirl.? It is like running an epic level D&D game with a few first level characters mixed in for good measure. But it is hard to make it so that the lowbies aren't killed instantly and so Superman doesn't just take over the game.
Plus I know Jason and Chris were both looking forward to making their own characters.
I am tentatively thinking of a d10 game with 175 power points, with up to another 10 points in defects. No powers higher than level 10, no stats higher than 20 and I'd need a really, really good reason someone would be at a 20.
Now, Vince, if you would like to make a Superman-LIKE character that would be fine. He would be at the lower end of Supes power scale though.
I will post on here later a new Attribute that will allow the characters to be a little more customized in the Stat area.
