Yeah, the first word that came to mind was "anorexic". Apparently Ma and Pa Kent must have been out of the picture long ago, because he sure ain't eating right now...

Ummm, have you read any Superman comics in the past 20 years? At all? Superman is a pretty muscle bound guy in well, every depiction of him pretty much. Still I suppose as this movie is a pseudo-sequel to the Christopher Reeve Superman films, then the physique fits.

Yeah, but so are most comic book characters, including those who have no need of any particular type or style of physique. As long as Routh looks to be in relatively good shape, I'm fine with it.

It's not like Christopher Reeves was very muscular either. Were you expecting them to cast The Rock or something?

I don't see much of a difference in their physiques...

Anyway, artists depecit many different versions of Superman. Some of them show him with ripping muscles and others show him as slender.
