I think they did a bit of practical stuff -- there's a Humane Society certification near the end of the credits saying they monitored how animals were handled in the movie and that they were all treated well.
I think it says that no animals were mistreated? And it appears on pretty much all American films. Just verifying that no animals were used at all fulfils that.

I remember RTD saying in a recentish Doctor Who behind the scenes thing that they had to put that notice on the Disney+ episode releases, but it's not on the BBC versions. As he said--they didn't use any animals at all, but still had to have the stamp verifying that they didn't harm any.

Super-picky thing, and not important -- and the kind of thing I roll my eyes when people say this sort of thing about the MCU movies -- but why change the name from "LexCorp" to "LuthorCorp?" "LexCorp" has been around for decades at this point and, via the cartoon, I think it's probably better known to the general public than any of the secondary heroes in this movie are.

It's not a problem, per se, but I look forward to the director commentary potentially explaining that change.

It was apparently intended as a callback to Smallville. I believe Gunn has indicated that he considers Rosenbaum's Lex the best of the cinematic takes on him.

Try watching some Bollywood films. They plaster that notice on the screen during the scenes where animals appear. It will generally either be a notice that this animal is CGI or that it was filmed in a different country where the laws on treatment of animals are different.

I choose to believe they really threw an actual leopard at a guy in RRR.

He also leans into the tech more than Batman, though obviously there's some overlap.
I think if any new character popped up and said "I mastered every martial art, and also I'm a billionaire tech genius and the world's greatest detective," people would roll their eyes. Everyone who follows Batman pretty much has to have a smaller portion of his power set.

So much of that movie felt like India throwing down the gauntlet to the MCU and saying "top this." And I love that it was "based on a real story" -- the possibilities for an American counterpart are hilarious and awesome.
Right? They can't top it. Wouldn't even think to try.

Another one like that is Baahubali. Absolutely nuts historical-fantasy film. It's a long Bollywood film that comes in two parts. Absolutely worth the watch if you haven't seen it.
