Nooooo

Can ANYONE explain to me what the girls are thinking?

Why would they saide with Ethan/Colby/Lex instead of Richard?
It makes NO sense.
You want to take Hatch to the finals if you can.
Sigh.
First RobC last week completely misplays his hand, RobM probably makes booboo by keeping Alicia/Sue instead of RobC (but the merge already softens that)
Now the ShiiAnn, Kathy and Jerri make the next huge blunder.

You think ANY of them wouldve learned.

And thinking that Colby, Lex and Ethan are going to be better at physical challenges than RobM, Rupert and Tom isnt too wise as there has yet to be a brute strength test.

Well, I was hoping to see Richard and Rudy continue on to the end. Now that they're out I have signifficantly less interest in who wins it this time. I guess at this point I'm rooting for Lex or Jeri.

They're probably thinking that the guys form a pretty unstable alliance. Colby wants to dump Ethan, Ethan is paranoid due to the winner target, Lex is probably feeling split loyalties (since IIRC he and Ethan are friends). If a ladies' alliance holds, they should be able to pick off the guys. That's a big 'if', though - alliances seem pretty fluid this season (no shock given the players).

That's a pretty big if. As the numbers drop, Hatch's vote would become more and more important, which would mean that he'd get to pick who goes to the final rather than somebody taking him there. And you can be sure he wouldn't be as dopey as Lillian, he'd go with somebody almost as hated as he is. Heck, he's such a mythical figure in Survivor that at least some of the jury might vote for him out of respect.

On CBS' website you can see the comments each tribe member made as they voted. Pretty much all of them talk about the way Hatch was playing angles and making contradictory promises right up to the time of the vote. I'd imagine they didn't want to go through that for the next three weeks (in "island time") just to try and get to the final two with him.

If Mogo Mogo goes to council again next week, I expect it to come down to Ethan and Colby - and I think Ethan might even win that one. If it's Chapera, I'm guessing the bootee will come from the Tom/Sue/Alicia mutual hate society - I'd say Sue for sure, except that the previews for next week make it look like it'll be her and I know Mark Burnett likes to bait and switch ;) .

Well, that is how Hatch plays the game. Of course I also found it interesting how he said up front that he was having a hard time coming up with a strategy this time. And how could he come up with one very easily? Everyone in his tribe saw him establish the paradigm for winning at survivor in season 1, so he had the biggest target on his back out of anyone in the game. It's a wonder he wasn't the first one voted out.

It still sucks though. I generally only like it when the evil players win. Except for the Bryan/Clay duo from a few seasons back. They were evil, but incredibly boring. I'm very happy neither one of those two are back for the all-stars. Aside from that, this season I want to see more evil, less nice.

richard and brian were the only schemers to win.
johnny fairplay and robc were hosed by people not wanting to take the schemer to the finals
rob m got stuck with an awful tribe and had the rug pulled out from under him because sean and vecepia werent playing hard enough (and on the day i die, i will still never know how she won)

so although he was the first winner, i dont think theres any great precedent set by richard. sure shiiann was impressed, and robc mightve been (but we'll never know) but hes NOT a threat to win. Why? the last challenge is ALWAYS the same. who can stand the longest in an uncomfortable position. Richard cannot win that challenge. PERIOD.

But with Rob C and Rich and Rudy gone, its all about Boston Rob and Tom the goat-farmer. and cheering when Colby gets snuffed.

As I see it, I find the Colby/Lex/Ethan group to be uninteresting, but think they will bond together as a solid voting block. where Jerri's desire to revenge Colby will just come back to haunt her. The guy's just have to play to Kathy's ego and continue to convince her that she's "playing god" and making the final decision to get her on board. So Mogo Mogo's next outs will be Jerri followed by Shi-Ann. Only then will you maybe see a Colby vs. Ethan vote.

Of course, that assumes that Mojo Mojo will lose the majority of the immunity challenges from now until the final merger. I think that's probable, although if our Red Team (who my daughter has dubbed "The Devils") should lose I see Jenna as the first one out, followed by Susan Hawk (or a possible reversal on that order if Susan continues to push Tom).
