I'm sorry, but Torment isn't a "D&D" game. I know it is literally, but if you took someone who never played D&D before, and had them play Torment, and then brought out the rulebooks and had them play, they would say they aren't even remotely the same on any level. Not just mechanics (which video games always have to tweak), but the entire core game theme. You might as well have Fantasy Empires on the list, because technically it has the D&D label on it. I know this is just my opinion, but no game that has nothing to do with what D&D is about: traditional high fantasy of wizards and warriors fighting against orcs and dragons in a party based system) should represent the "best D&D game" lol.
