I don't get the Warcraft hate. Yeah, it's not a great movie. But when I watched it I was pleasantly surprised with how not awful it was. I mean, it's certainly better than Hawk the Slayer for writing, general professional level of production, acting. And it's every bit as DnDish.

I think it's guilt by association, mostly. A lot of folks here on ENWorld are highly allergic to World of Warcraft (the game), and so they are voting down anything WoW-adjacent. Even the mere suggestion that modern D&D has anything in common with WoW or other MMORPGs is enough to make some of us break out in hives.

I'm downvoting it because it's one of the few movies on this list that I haven't seen yet. (shrug) But on your recommendation, that might change soon.

I was unaware of the WoW (the game) hate here. Or, indeed, anywhere. I don't like WoW much, but that's because I'm real bad at real time strategy/combat. I am old and I can't click fast enough.
