Swashbuckling Cards

We used to play in a Legend of the Five Rings (L5R) campaign, as L5R is based on a CCG, we used cards from the CCG as Swashbuckling/Whimsey cards. Much fun.

I have been trying to put together a deck for my current D&D campaign by cribbing cards from various games (Warlord, Magic, Legend of the Burning Sands, 7th Sea). But I have not used it yet.

You think Conan is obscure? To this crowd? Wow...

Who (besides me ;)) knows where the quote "Oh, sure - just because I'm a toaster, I'm tone deaf!" comes from?
but do you know where the large dog loose in the woods is from? :p

That phrase nags at something in the back of my mind every time I read it. I know I should remember where it's from, but it keeps eluding me.

mwahaha! Two hints:

It was said twice, once purely descriptively and once by a prophets of sorts setting up the plan.

&

it was not said by a human or even humanoid.

woo hoooooooo! Hint dropping to hubby begins NOW!

*cough* um, yeah, off target... totally.... ;)

For all the LoTR or other 'epic' fantasy, I think my ideas of what an epic adventure is came from a bunch of bunnies who were too dumb to bring along the does in the first place... When they needed a deux ex mechania, they went and got one for themselves. :D and it had a true ensemble cast...
