Pathfinder 1E Sword of Valor, Wrath of the Righteous AP Part 2 with your hosts Scotley and MLeibrock

OOC: Interesting technical question. A readied action is designed to prepare a response to a specific situation. It really wasn't intended to derail the initiative process.
It wasn’t my intent. I risk much by charging in blindly. I get single attack. And if I don't gain Init, I am next to big bad without full attack and with lower AC. Besides all special forces ready to charge immediately after the rat or explosive opens the door. It is a feature of door to door. And ready action needs precision. Adrian needs undead for his attack both for the bane to work and to trigger the readied action.

Viridian charges in even before the door is fully open, homing on the big demon and preparing for the world of hurt. But he will dish out some hurt too! Biting into the fleshy part of the inner thigh, kobold worries at the leg inflicting as much pain as possible.

[sblock=Action]
[roll0] Fort DC 14
[roll1] - add 1 acid damage if not resistant

OOC: I agreed with your logic, and went forward with the actions as readied, but I've seen players try to abuse this and so thought it best to make the comment I did lest someone else see my willingness as an invite to abuse the rules.

Adrian scans the area and as the creature appears in front of them twitches, but quickly realized this is no undead and stays his hand.
"There may be another door behind the demon!" he calls to others
"Watch our back! There may be more of them."

[roll0] - too slow

Thorn moves in to meet the demon and attack...but as she passes through the door, she catches the tiniest movement in the shadows to either side.

"Ghouls flanking the door!" she yells.

Initiative:
Demon 18
Adrian 15
Vakeva 11
Thorn 11
Vir?

The Demon takes up his aspergillum and swings down at Vir. He must be concerned about hitting his own leg, for his swing is well wide of the Kobold. The ghouls are more successful as they flank Vir and one manages a bite while another one gets in a claw.

[sblock=Neurotic]Natural 1 on the attack. Must be your lucky day. The ghouls rolled much better 11 points of damage and two fort saves at DC 13 vs. paralysis and filth fever. [/sblock]

OOC: All may act.

OOC: [MENTION=11520]Scotley[/MENTION], init is 10. Rolled in the post where I asked about readied actions. Almost stunned! :) Isn't disease roll rolled once for all bites at the end of combat? Or was it 4e?

[roll3] <-- there had to be at least one :) Using surge (unless 1 is autofail?) !
EDIT Checked: Automatic Failures and Successes: A natural 1 (the d20 comes up 1) on a saving throw is always a failure - Viridian is diseased
