Pathfinder 1E Sword of Valor, Wrath of the Righteous AP Part 2 with your hosts Scotley and MLeibrock

Thorn examines the papers and finds a great treasure indeed. The papers document the cultists' movements around the city. These papers not only indicate that the plan to attack Kenabres was several years in the planning, but that there were a large number of Templars of the Ivory Labyrinth involved. This list of names is valuable to the crusaders-it can't help Kenabres at this point, but since several of the names on the list include people operating in other cities it is going to help the cause. Finally, there is a short note in immaculate handwriting:

Faxon,

You did well to report your superior's mishandling of funds, and I trust that you will continue to serve as loyally in the weeks to come. You need not command the Kenabres Templars for long, the city is about to die--I only wish I could be there to take part in its murder for I have fond memories of my Red Morning Massacre. No matter, I suppose, for your mortal kin will all fall soon enough--as I said, Kenabres's day are short. Verlesh has already left to meet iwth our Lord's daughter in the Abyss to secure a Nahyndrian crystal of the proper purity, and once she has what she needs, she'll arrive in Kenabres to finish the job and turn the Wardstones full to our use. You will know when she succeeds, I suspect! Praise Lord Baphemet!

Minago

OOC: The note was obviously written before you spoiled the demons' plans and destroyed the Wardstones. At least it is confirmation that their plan was important to them and that they expected to cause even more destruction.

Sir Sheldon looks for a cape or other cloth. He then kicks the unholy symbols onto and lifts them like they are covered in sewage filth.

"Keva, none of them had any thing they shouldn't have tounched, like holy symbols or other holy artifacts. I am going to bring these down to the others. You ready to re-join?"

As Keva walks up the stairs Randlay re-enters the broken tower from 'outside' . The crusader definitely did not just lose his lunch, and if he did, it was definitely not because he nearly shot the dwarf in the face. No, it must have been a bit of spoiled meat or a rotten potato.

"Ugh, sorry about that, er-" he sort of mumbles as he walks over to body of the female cultist. He nudges her leg a bit roughed with one heavy boot.

"Bled out, eh?" grunts Randlay. "Real shame. I was almost looking forward to a bit of witty repartee involving a noble but inevitably doomed attempt to sway her towards the light, followed by a swift and debatably merciful execution. She seemed real sure she was on the winning side. Might have been interesting."

If she is dead, Randlay tries to wrench out the three bolts in her torso. They will be mostly useless at this point, but get a bunch of busted bolts and there is sure to be at least a little bit of metal that can be salvaged. The one in the head would be a bit messy though, and better left as a souvenir.

Then the crusader then spares another glance over at Keva, quickly looking away. One did not simply walk up to a dwarf, say, 'Whatcha got there?' and YANK. At least that never had never worked well with the beard.

[INDENT=]'Keva returns Randlay's look with a long one of his own before replying, "Eh, no matter. Th' Tiefling were a tricksy one, and fer a second there I thought ye were a demon m'self. Ye surely shoot like one." He glances down as the crossbowman eyes his bolts and winces slightly as he's reminded of his injuries. "I s'pose ye'll be wanting these back . . . that's gonna sting a bit. I'm thinkin' they'll come free better if y' push 'em on through rather than pullin' 'em out backwards. Best be about it, then. Sir Sheldon, be a good lad an' let th' others know Jack and I'll be down momentarily, eh? I expect I'll be needin' some bandages, so you make sure there's some ready fer me." The old Dwarf rummages in his rucksack for a moment, pulling out a thick dowel. He lowers himself to the ground, leans back against his rucksack, and takes the wood between his teeth before nodding his readiness to Randlay.

Jack sets his crossbow down against the wall and removes his gauntlets. "You know that they say: 'This is going to hurt like Hell and you'll be better for it.' Might be all lies. I'm not the medic." And at the moment his tongue hits the 'c' sound, he gives the first bolt a hard shove though. "If you need to take a moment that fine, I'll w-" he says just as he pushes the second through, pulling it out the back. "-ait. Well, I ain't no medic but I do know surprise is your friend." And so it goes until he is done and Keva is ready for his next positive energy treatment.

Thorn rolls the parchment up with some satisfaction and speaks the name of a new target.

"Minago."

The names in the papers would be useful in turning the demons' agenda back, but that name was precious. The commanders of the hordes guarded any identifier jealously, to help protect themselves against any number of nasty tricks that magic could play. That alone made this venture worth it.

"I think we'd better head back and report this," she said, looking back at the others. "Valuable intelligence here. Lets take what's of value, destroy what can't be used, and I'll rig up some traps in here to catch any latecomers when they try to come in."

At the mere mention of the Demon's name causes cold chills to run up the paladin's spine. he searches his memory to see if he knows any thing of that name, perhaps it was during the attempted mas sacrifices . . . . .

[roll0]

perhaps it was just the base evil of the being.

Meliara scrunches up her nose. "You mean to tell me that all this time what we needed was in that chest," she points to it, "And we could have just skewered that disgusting filth and gotten what we needed rather than me having to be in close quarters with him breathing on me and looking at me and casting his foul curses on me??" She shivers and gives a haughty hurmp! "Of course, when we DON'T try to get the information, that is when we need it and can't find it. Why is it always that way?" she sighs exasperatedly.
