SX:3 From the Bowels of Philadelphia (Hero For Hire Judging)

(OOC: Salix, Bront's grandfather died, so he is away for a while--shall I just bring Sierra then?

EDIT: Okay, actually he may be back tomorrow!)

OOC:We'll bring him and Sierra as soon as a concensus is reached on the next move. He's not too bad to NPC, just make him real aggressive and have him go ape every once and a while

"We'll, he's got to be in the control room" replies Aquaphibian. "Trying to take on all 15 tank-bots probably won't be productive. Let's fly right to door to the complex, and thus fight as few tank-bots as possible before we can get in."

Twilight Gryphon hooks her arms through Aquaphibian's "Open the door when you are ready."

(OOC: Awww, but Sierra could be helpful in making said plans, especially if they're playing a guessing game as to where the big bad guy is located )

OOC: Assuming we can see a door that looks promising...

"Let's use the hills for cover and swoop to the door as quickly as possible. Hopefully we won't become target practice on our way." Aquaphibian opens the door and latches on tight to Twilight Gryphon.

 

[Raylis]

You watch for an entrance and I will watch for any attacks; since the drones did not fire at our Vigilant they may not detect or fire at us...with any luck. Twilight Gryphon replies opening her wings and letting the difference in pressure pull them into the air. She glides, testing the air currents with her wings, for a few moments before turning to make an approach from the hills.

The heroes proceed with Ghost in tow. After spotting a likely entrance to what they believe is the control tower, they begin a steep descent to try and throw off the tankbots. As they reach a hundred feet from the ground, they notice a few of the tankbots turn and scuttle towards them. By the time they land five of the bots are within 300 feet. After hitting the ground, Circe and Gun Monkey suddenly appear before them. Gun Monkey turns to them and wryly says, "Looks like we got a robot problem again?" He draws his gun and draws a bead on one of the tankbots.

(OOC: Bront said he's taking a LS hiatus. Did Sierra see the actual bad guy when she did the search (check the Ready Room thread--she did a big scan to find everything of note before popping in)? If so and if she had Gun Monkey, she probably would have dropped the two of them next to him instead of out here.

Also, either way, if she doesn't have initiative after Teleporting before the robots do stuff, that'll mean she still has on the Chaos Diamond--teleporting does not leave her flat-footed thanks to the Easy extra, so if anything attacks anyone remotely near her, she gets a check to reflect the attack back at the attacker.

Assuming she's forced to appear near the Resolutes--)

"Hi kids--need some help?" the woman who asks is an incredible beauty, and those of you who watch television recognise her as Sierra Preston, an extremely popular new actress, "Headquarters told me you might. I hope this one will be at least interesting."

OOC: I'm going to take a bit of a break, but feel free to NPC Gun Monkey in this if you want. I won't expect anything from it, but it seems fitting, and you needed a brick.

(OOC: He's more of a sharpshooter, almost a mod energy wielder with those guns--Sierra with Antaeus up should be the actual brick he wants, though her ability to deflect attacks should possibly be more useful. Speaking of which, once she determines that the enemy is Dr. Null, before teleporting over, while Limited Omniscience is still up, she'll try to make a check to remember what she can about Dr. Null that was collected from the last mission against him--specifically, she'd like to know what sort of attacks and powers Null will typically use)
