SX:3 From the Bowels of Philadelphia (Hero For Hire Judging)

OOC: There doesn't seem to be anything going on inside the complex, but those bots now look like a real threat to the dam. Let us know Salix if there is any other threat apparent, if not we need to go back out and pound on some bots.

Auqaphibian: "Darn, there is no sign in here of any enemies. But those tank-bots sure look like they could cause some harm to the dam, we should intercept them on the access ramps". A-phib tries to assess the situation as best he can and will use his tremor sense to try to detect any enemies inside the complex.

"We could have used the additonal support; they might have enabled use to divide into a group dealing with the bots and a group looking to stop Null from-whatever his intentions are." Gryphon's tail lashes out angrilly betraying her compisition.

"It is likely safe to assume that these 'tankbots' are shielded from attacks derived from an incorporeal nature; or equipped to handle such a threat, given our previous encounter in the underground laboratory and in the previous encounter Gun Monkey and the others handeled at the bridge...

"Wait a minute; we left Million Mask and Intrepid with Doctor McCarthy if they can convince him to tell us what he knows of Null's plan, it would save us a lot of guesswork."

OOC: sorry for the absense. My temp cable line runs accross construction drive next door and now and again gets severed... Is ghost with the group inside?

OOC: Sorry for the delay. The site wouldn't let me on yesterday for some reason. :] Ghost is inside with the others. The behavior of the tankbots seems to have turned from patrolling to confronting the heroes. They don't seem to pose a threat to the bridge itself.

OOC: that means the tank-bots are heading towards our position at the top of the dam, correct? In that case we better prepare for a battle...

Aquaphibian scratches his head as he mulls over the situation. "Alright, there is no sign of any activity inside the complex, so that leaves the bots for us to deal with. We might as well set up a defensive position at the door and try to eliminate any to come against us. Do any of you have ideas?"

Using his X-Ray/darkvison what can Ghost see about that is in the complex... For example Null, expslosives rigged to go off, hostages, etc. . .

Ghost scans the control room atop the dam, but sees nothing that he would consider out of the ordinary. The Tankbots stop about thirty feet away, and appear to be taking aim at the team. The heroes can't help but think that stray fire to the top of the dam could be a problem.

OOC: You guys moving to attack, flying away, or waiting for them to close to melee?

OOC: Sorry for the double post, was the team going to follow up on this (of course they might be occupied for the short run)?

OOC: yes, let's follow up with McCarthy after this first skirmish.

"OK people, let's rumble!" Aphib coils his mighty legs and prepares to jump all the way to the nearest bot, attempting to smash it to ity bity pieces.

A-phib initiative (1d20+1=20)

OOC: 30ft is well within the range of A-phib's standing jump...

Taking wing, Twilight Gryphon swoops over to the bots, slashing at one and continuing past them.
