SX:3 From the Bowels of Philadelphia (Hero For Hire Judging)

At Aquaphibian's instruction, Intrepid swims over to one side of the crevice and prepares himself, just in case someone - or something - comes rushing out at them. His gaze moves quickly, from the crevice to Aquaphibian pulling the lever and back again. Waiting for anything...

Million Mask slowly swimming for the cover. He is still feeling tired and he like to avoid making any more tired effort or else he will just only flooting in the water.

Aquaphibian pulls the lever. As a panel moves from the bottom up (like a garage door) two mechanical forms dart out on the attack. The heroes feel a rush of panic as they are being attacked out of their element by two fifteen foot mechanical sharks.

OOC 1: Until our friendly neighborhood Ghost shows back up I was hoping someone would volunteer to run the character. I understand if noone wants to, but I like having characters run by the players if there is an extended absence. Players are always more creative than the GM (we don't like them throwing wrenches in our plans, but PCs always manage to do that).

OOC 2: Initiative order Ghost, Shark 2, Intrepid, Twilight Gryphon, Aquaphibian, Million Mask, Shark 1 I use the same order for the entire encounter.

Intrepid brings up his Force Field with a thought. His next thought is, Of course it's robots right out of the gate. Guess I'll be playing defense, atleast until I see what these things are capable of.

[sblock=OOC]Intrepid brings up his Force Field 8 as a free action, making his Toughness +10.[/sblock]

That was quit bad, he don't expect that robot shark should appear. He could shot it with his small handgun but because he is in the water, it is quit useless plus they are robots. He couldn't shift form yet or else Gryphon shift back to her form back. He have a serious problem now and the only thing he could do now is that he keeping himself defensive.

[sblock=OOC]Used HP to remove Fatigue condition and doing Defensive stance[/sblock]

Robot Sharks? Wonderful Twilight Gryphon thinks as she readies for the one of the Sharks to attack.

OOC: ready an action to attack when a shark approaches.

Attack +10, injury toughness save 25 (just to speed things up)

Aquaphib action for round #1

Aquaphibian knows that many of his teammates are vulnerable right now, so he immediately springs into action. He charges the nearest robo-shark and executes his basic combat maneuver: an unarmed attack followed with a grapple if it hits (he has improved grab). This is basically a two handed grab and crush!

"I've got you now, tinker toy!"

Initial attack 1d20+10+2(charge): 1d20+12-> [17,12] = (29) http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=729890

The save DC, should this attack hit, is 25.

Given that this is a hit, the Grapple is 1d20+20: 1d20+20-> [15,20] = (35) http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=729896

OOC: That will leave a mark!

OOC: I guess I'll give Ghost's actions (even though I'm not exactly sure how his TK powers are meant to be used).

Ghost reacts as the sharks come swimming from behind the door. He throws out a forceful spike of telekinetic power at the nearest of the two mechanical beasts.

[sblock=OOC2] TK Power Thrust: AutoHit Save DC 25[/sblock]

OOC: I forgot to add: Intrepid is taking the Total Defense action this round, giving +4 to his Dodge Bonus. Defense = 17 (13 (flatfooted) + 4 (bonus) = 17).
