One of the sons of Ulinor by Freya, Syne appears to be a powerfully built man with a missing hand, a long golden beard, and flowing golden hair. He is the husband of Rhone, and the father of Lleth. His hair was made by the Dwarves of old and enchanted to take root and grow on his head after Freyil cut of his hair in a bid to weaken Syne just before the battle with Athmraug the Great to test his courage.

Dogma

The followers of Syne teach that courage is an everyday situation as well as in catastrophes, and battle. He teaches that to attain a true state of courage one most know ones limits, and not ever act foolhardy. It is a belief based on an incident of his own, for in the battle between himself and the Serpent Lord Athmraug, he lost his right hand to the wiles of the beast.

Syne’s clergy realize the value of self sacrifice, but differentiate between necessity and throwing ones life away. His texts teach us that sacrifice for others is an Ideal, but sacrifice for personal glory is anathema. Because of the cults focus on sacrifice for others it is welcome in all but the most chaotic of communities

Clergy and Temples

Syne’s clergy work to develop there skills and often hold strict routines of exercise, and practicing with their weapons in their left hand if they are not already left handed. When conducting the religious rituals

Syne’s clergy wear a leather sleeve over their right hand and arm to emulate there deity. Syne’s temples are either highly organized Fortresses in secluded places like mountain tops or lonely Islands, or Fortified Cathedrals built without ornamentation usually with his symbol only to mark it as his temple.
He has given an on going command to his clergy, and Paladin army that they must search for his lost Gluridaril/ His +5 longsword of holy, keen, returning, and throwing. The sword was stolen by the Smirking Rogue Freyil, and used to shave his hair. It lies somewhere in the dark recesses of the Bleekstep mountains.
