[sblock=Midias]As you follow Peladus, the mist to your north-west swirls violently, though you can make out no solid form within it. Something like a blocky limb strikes you a bruising blow across the legs. You feel dampness where you were hit and then the harsh sting of acid burning your skin.

OOG: AoO from the Unknown Thing. Attack hits AC 17, damage 4. You're now 5 feet away from your previous position, in whatever direction you chose to move (east? Specificity is good!), with the move action partly completed (i.e. 15 feet left available), and still a standard action to hand. Move on? Where to? Do something else?[/sblock][sblock=Ngikhnit, Pendrake]The mist swirls violently where you struck, and you hear the sound of a blow, but still you can make out no solid form.[/sblock][sblock=Peladus, Quozen]You hear the sound of a solid blow being struck somewhere in the mists.[/sblock]

OOG: Midias would have only one action if he'd readied to move when Peladus moved. As stated, he delayed, which just drops him down the initiative order until he chooses to take his full turn. But this is increasingly like pulling teeth. On we go. Quozen.

I hate to be critical of others posting, but I have posted with most of us in this game, quite possibly all of us. I fear that some of us are not posting very well to the normality of information and I Know there is no lack of know how and knowledge of the rules. It has to be quite painful to Trouvere as the dm, because for me it is almost painfuly funny.

I know some of you here are of a different native language suce as Walking dad and I think it is Bront who live in Germany, And I can imagine the horrific time of understanding this language called english. if that is is the case, please feel free to tell the dm of any translating problems

If that is not the case, is it vecause someone is trying to get trouvere's goat for being scottish, or would that be sheep . . or haggis....anyway, what ever.?

[sblock=ooc]In my case it was a misunderstanding that nauseated also prvented free action (rules knowledge) and a confusion between the game terms of delaying and readying an action. I understand that we fight a beast that is mostly invisible and has some kind of stench ability. And it wasn't affected by M's turn attempt. Did I miss something crucial?[/sblock]

[sblock=OOG]Tactically, you're all doing fine against the Unknown Thing.

It's really just that when given gridded maps, "I move" is a lot less informative than "I move east 20 feet" or "I move. OOC: E, SE, E, E." I'd prefer not to have to guess or pick a square myself in case someone's precise position turns out to be important later.

I don't think you're missing anything in your summary, WD, except that Midias would also be aware of the type of damage it inflicted on him. Quozen and Ngikhnit have seen it (and it's definitely possible for every PC to repeat that feat) and they know one other bit of information, but that's it, I believe.

As for the, uh, Scottish thing, may my Robertson ancestors (Garg'n uair dhuisgear!) forgive me, but I'm not Scottish. It's far worse than that.

Quozen reflexively clears his throat, trying to rid his lungs of the acrid air. "So much for diplomatic relations," he coughs.

Resolved to the course of action his party has attempted, Quozen steps 10' east, then 5' northeast.

I should be flanking the thing with Ngikhnit now, and draw an AoO from the thing. If the thing takes a swing at me, I respond with an attack from my rapier once I am in position. +7 attack, +2 for flanking(?), 1d6+1 Piercing damage, 18-20/x2 crit.
