This is Round 4. Bless has been active for 4 rounds. Ngikhnit is in his 3rd round of rage. Peladus is in his 2nd post-cloud round of nausea. The stinking cloud is in its 3rd round.

Much the same for both Midias and Peladus, who can also see light from the alleyway to their south, not shown.[/sblock][sblock=Ngikhnit]

Quozen hollowly stares at Pendrake. He seems not to notice that Pendrake is speaking with him, nor that he has soiled the front of his outfit with vomit. Instead, he simply staggers off to the southwest.

[sblock=ooc]
Quozen takes his single move action to head due southwest to the full extent of his movement, even if that's into darkness.

[sblock=Midias, Peladus]There is the sound of a dull impact, and then quiet steps heading away, certainly those of the elf and not the heavier two, followed by wet slithering sounds closer to the north-west.[/sblock][sblock=Ngikhnit]Midias chants softly from outside the cloud, casting some sort of spell.

There is the sound of a dull impact, and then quiet steps, probably those of the elf, passing to the south, then more wet slithering sounds to the east.[/sblock][sblock=Quozen]As Quozen moves off, the tentacled creature behind strikes him with bludgeoning force and the sudden sting of acid on his skin. A few more steps through cloying mist bring him into clear air. Though it is impossible to see far through the mist, from outside it glows diffusely with the light of the sunrod inside, so that the Square is still illuminated.

OOG: AoO hits AC 16 for 5 damage.[/sblock][sblock=Pendrake]Midias chants softly from outside the cloud, casting some sort of spell.

Quozen, expression blank, moves past and into the misty distance, quickly lost to sight. But as he goes, something strikes him, setting the mist swirling, something that now slithers into the space he left empty.

At last Pendrake sees it, this visitor to Spelding Square. It is black, or a yellow so dark it could be mistaken for black. It is perhaps the size of a man, though much lower to the ground, with flesh – if flesh it is - that is leathery and wet and glossy at the same time, forming an agitated central body of ill-defined changing shape, above which two writhing tentacles twist.

From the central mass a crude blocky appendage glistening with tiny acrid droplets thrusts forward, but is easily dodged. The tentacles too slap like clumsy striking snakes. Pendrake again easily dodges one, and the other rebounds harmlessly from his mithral shirt.

OOG: Pendrake can see the Unknown Thing, though the mist grants it the 20% miss chance of partial concealment.[/sblock][sblock=Maps][sblock=Pendrake]

[/sblock][sblock=Quozen]Apologies, this one is uglier than usual.

[/sblock][/sblock][sblock=OOG]Ngikhnit and Pendrake again easily make their Fort saves against nausea.

Round 5. Bless has been active for 5 rounds. Ngikhnit is in his 4th round of rage. Peladus is in his 3rd post-cloud round of nausea and Quozen his 1st. The stinking cloud is in its 4th round. I look forward to its departure so I can get past posts that are nothing but stacks of sblocks.

you said i was under a miss chance at 20 %, right? as for the repeat of the damage roll, I am sorry about that.

Ngikhnit turns eastward after hearing... well, he hears what he hears. "I know that's you, you miserable creature!" He shoves past Pendrake, swinging his flail ahead of him.

I'm understanding that Ngikhnit moves before Pendrake, right? Move 10' east. If he sees any evidence of the creature in a more identifiable location, he'll continue to attack it; otherwise, he'll stop right at 10' and attack into the space immediately east. On the other hand, if he's after Pendrake, he'll attack to wherever he sees Pendrake attacking instead.

Attack roll: Natural 1. Whether or not the creature is there, Ngikhnit's flail does not connect.
