D&D (2024) Table of Contents for Dungeon Masters Guide Leaked

The new Dungeon Master's Guide has been sold at the MCM Comic Con in London UK this weekend, according to Reddit users Mr_Murdoc and Dusuno, and some material has been shared, including the Table of Contents. The book was officially on sale there, with D&D Beyond saying that "MCM Comic Con London attendees will be the first in the world to have an opportunity to purchase a physical copy of the 2024 Dungeon Master’s Guide!" 900 copies of the DMG were available for purchase at the convention.

Nope, we will find out when the MM comes along! From a logical point of view, having Monster math in the MM would be sensible.

Yeah... I've had the sense for a while now that variant rules were more or less getting the axe in this DMG. I'm a little bummed, since I use a few (plus I was hoping to see some things like critical hit variants they toyed around with in the play test). But, I still think i's going to be a much better DMG than 2014--and it's my game so I can still do what ever I want!

Honestly, if they just take what was cut from the 2014 DMG, that feels like the seeds if a solid next Everything book: Xygag's Guide to Building Everything?

Let me rephrase: DMs who have both books can use them both.

And new DMs have more need of solid and understandable Encounter and Adventure building advice than tables on how to generate a random building.

And WotC has no financial reason to keep it available, even as a pdf, because it's "the same edition".

Of course, but for new DMs who join and don't have legacy knowledge and aren't terminally online? They'll be entirely unaware.
