Table of Contents for Tome of Battle

Thank god for copying and pasting huh Akoss? ;)
Damn straight.

Definitely a fair bit to digest there - I'm still reading through it myself. It looks like plenty of love for the melee classes, especially at higher levels (the +100 damage ability for example, an ability which allows all enemy movement to provoke AoO form you for another). Fighter-types are going to look a lot more like spellcasters in breadth of ability after this book comes out...

Well maybe breadth is pushing it, but certainly now they can keep up with most other spellcasters in terms of damage capacity and ability to do more than just land multiple blows.

So are all the styles/paths in this book as obviously magical as Shadow Hand (summoning flanking creatures and teleporting) / Desert Wind (fire damage) / Devoted Spirit (healing abilities), or would some of the paths be a good fit for highly skilled non-magical characters (a la Iron Heroes)?

I'm hoping some of the styles like Setting Sun, Stone Dragon, Tiger Claw, and possibly also Diamond Mind and White Raven might fit this mold.

Not that I have a problem with the quasi-magical effects, I was just curious if the book would *also* work for a character who was an alternate take on a straight-up fighter...

This book does indeed look interesting.

I won't be getting it, though. I've long since lost interest in any 'character option' related books.

After seeing the previews/excerpts, anyone change their mind about this book?
Heh... I've already got a preliminary Swordsage build for the Planescape game I've just joined in.
