"Ilvillous, let's try that again." he speaks into the young mans mind. "Here hold this piece here like this, and while you do that I'll do that... and hopefully a click..."

Sacred Stone Monastery, Day 7, Late Evening

With J.V's help Illvilious manages to click open the lock. Peering inside a slim streak of moonlight from a window illuminates a large room containing a wooden table with four chairs, a small working desk, several macrame' wall hangings, and a single pallet on a low stone shelf set against the west wall. A woman in dark robes sits crossed legged on the floor, her back straight and her breathing measured. She does not appear to have noticed you.

When in the form of a animal that cannot communicate easily with humans one has alot of time to ponder ones own thoughts. At this moment Duran is pondering something he once heard someone say about locks only keeping honest men honest, seeing the gusto these two men attacked these locks was a testament to that. Where our how they picked up their skills Duran didn't want to know but they did come in handy.

As the lock clicks Duran slinks off to a side being a bear and all.

OOC: Oh, time for some monk on monk action? :-P

Ilvellios entered the room gently, seeing the meditating woman and gesturing for the others to hold. Keeping his intentions non-threatening and his movements respectful without being suspicious, he stepped a short way into the room and joined her in meditation on the floor, his hands forming the istari mudra..

OOC: Going a bit beyond the normal rules here, but is there some way for a monk to tell how much Ki another monk has? Perception check? [roll0]

I don't believe there is. It sounds a little too close to the battlemaster 7th level ability. Though from your time in your own monastery you would guess this must be someone high up. Very few people would have a private room this size nor furniture beyond a basic sleeping pallet.

As Illvilious tries to join in the meditation a harsh, feminine voice cut through the peace in the room, "This is my private chamber. It is after dark, if you have a duty, return to it, if not get back to the dormitory!"

"Pardon the intrusion, revered teacher, but I am newly arrived. I request an audience when you have realigned your ki and focused beyond your subtle breath.."

Sacred Stone Monastery, Day 7, Late Evening

The monk reacts with impossible speed, before Illvilious is even aware she has moved she is standing in front of him raining blows at him. It's all Illvilious can do to avoid them until the final one catches him a solid blow savage for a disciplining strike. "You presume too much." Her quite voice far more threatening than any enraged shouting. "You deal with Qarbo unless I summon you to the dojo. Now get out."

GM: If you do anything other than leave immediately, you'll need to roll initiative.
