"Welcome, Master Tor. Let me assure you that you are in the right place to find opportunities to prove yourself. While I, unfortunately, missed one opportunity while taking a walk through Orussus, both Lady Persephone and Master Rinaldo have had such opportunities already. I hope that a good cause will present itself soon." Ashnar greets the warrior, and offers him his hand.

"Yes, twice. And I must say you were true, Tor, about a man is really tested on the field of combat. I must confess I am a really por warrior. You should see Zoe, she has been with me on both job I've found here. We could call her an holy warrior, and she really know her way into a fight. Personally, it is just if I don't weat my pants every time my life is threaten."

Tor shakes Ashnar's hand heartilly, seeing in him a kindred spirit.

"I am sure we will find a noble cause soon." Tor says. Then he grins. "After all, the world is to full of trouble to disapoint those who go looking for it! I wish I knew more of the Dwarves, but I've only heard a few rumors. Surely there are Dwarves aplenty that pass through the Red Dragon Inn?"

"Oh, and as to your concerns, good Rinaldo, do not let them worry you. My Grandfather says that the abscense of fear is not courage, it is stupidity. He tells me that only in facing fear and still doing whats right can courage be found. More, my father has said that skill in combat can only be bought by hard work, no one is born a master, and every battle you survive will bring you closer to mastery. Be proud that you have fought and lived!"

"Well, proud is not quite the word. When I was in that vinyard, at the end, I was more a burden than an help, as I fainted after being wounded. It took Zoe's mystical healing power to bring me from my coming death. And if it wasn't of Zoe taking the hit against that dragon we met... no, wyvern, I think I would be dead, ask Lady Persephone, she was there too. Zoe can be proud of what she has done, I'm not quite sure I can be..."

"Fighting a dragon, even a lowly wyvern, is an accomplishment by itself. Most men run at the mere sight of them. Still, past is past. Do you intend to continue adventuring, to continue to throw yourself in the path of such dangers?"

"Well, I was thinking to start a business in the rare but profitable domain of magical items, but I must first find more money, and it isn't with my spice business that I will be able to raise that found."

Tor nods.

"We'll all have to keep our eyes and ears sharp for opportunities. As nice as this inn is, none of us will find fame, fortune, or prowess in battle simply sitting within these walls."

"True, but be patient. It is not wandering you will get fame too. All you will get, it is wet, except if that rain have finally stop. To gain fame, you must do a great thing, or a lot of small things. I doubt you'll do a great thing if you stay here, but there is a lot of small thing to do offered on that board."

Rinaldo show a board on the wall, were a nail and a few pin can be seen, holing nothing.

"It is empty now, but as you can see, it is use. Be patient, and something will show up. Personally, I'm not against taking a drink near a hot fire and in good company once in a while."

A large dark brown skinned human enters the tavern. He scans the room as if looking for someone in particular. Seeing nobody he recognizes, he introduces himself in his usual fashion. In a deep bass voice he sings out

I'll sing for friendship
I'll sing for my supper
I'll sing for the party
I'll sing for love

For music and song are the greatest of treasures
To soothe and relax, entertain or to woo
Ballads and epics, romances and all
The whole world over, to nourish the soul

For dukes and for peasants
For soldiers and wizards
For gnomes, orcs and hobbits
For guildsmen and kings
For ladies and courtiers
For mourners or lovers
For all of your friends
And for you I will sing!

(Perform check 2+8=10. Not one of his best performances, but passable.)

Then he adds, in spoken words, "Nurlan's the name, and my friends and I have an offer for anyone interested. It involves a chance to correct an injustice, to help protect a city troubled by a goblin menace, and possibly to acquire a small fortune. It also involves some danger, just how much being one of the many mysteries. When my friends get here we'll explain the details."
