"Sorry if I jumped into the conversation, but do we know where we are looking and what the amulet we are looking for actually looks like?" asks Gogmorthak.

Gareth describe you the look of the amulet. As you hear the description, it looks a fin quality amulet, well decorated. It must have a good value on the market and that would be understandable why the Stormcrow would have accepted it as a payment.

The door to the Tower's Shard opens, and a man of average height, wrapped in academic robes walks into the room. The hood of his robes obscures his face from the side, but from the front, a violet face observes his surroundings through white, glowing eyes.

His robes are wrapped tight around his body and gathered between his legs to make the hem seem like pants. He looks more like an ornately mummified king, than a traveller, but his manner of step betrays that he is not noble. In fact, this outfit is probably the only clothing he owns. It is regal, but stained with mud, dust, food, and ink.

As he walks, he leans on a staff that appears as if it has seen better days. It is worn, twisted, and has the look of having been struck by lightning. Surprisingly, it doesn't even bend as he puts his full weight on it.

Strapped to his back (because he is too short to carry it at his waist) is an ENORMOUS, two-handed blade, the hilt of which extends from above his head down to below his waist.

He slides up to the bar and takes a stool waiting for the bored-looking bartender to turn his way...

"Hello. My name is Arkavas. I'm from Fairhaven up in Aundair, and I would love to do a little 'field research,' if you know what I mean. Do you know anyone who might be willing to fund my 'academic' pursuits"

Velmont collected pretty much everyone who's not out on an adventure for his upcoming one, then went on vacation. But the group doesn't have a leader-role type yet."
[/sblock]

"I believe this fellow would prefer to bring at least one other beyond the four us." Narvala said, looking up. "I've little interest in any treasure that cannot aid the fight against enemies of the Flame myself, but he seemed to indicate he believed there would be opportunities for such."

[sblock=OOC] Questions?

What's the current list of characters and classes?
Any idea when he'll be back from vacation? [/sblock]

The dava turns his head in the indicated direction and studies the gentleman a little.

"He looks like a right swell chap to me. Fair enough. I'll give it a go. Hey good fellow! What circumstances bring you to seek help here at the... uh..." He looks surreptitiously (but not surreptitiously enough) at the plackard behind the bar, "...Tower's Shard."

"If you want to join up, it is perfect. Here the details..." and Gareth retells his story. "So that's it. I need to go set the last things for the travel. Meet me tomorrow at the lightning rail station."

[SBLOCK=OOC]You can read the last few pages for the details.[/SBLOCK]

The gnoll nodded in agreement, and gave a wide smile. "Sweetness will be there. Get to ride on flashy train, yep yep yep..." With another look around the table at the assembled group, the gnoll picked up its heavy satchel and headed out the door.

Arkavas looks satisfied as he begins a grand adventure to test craft. Smiling, he turns on his heal and follows the others out the door.

Enter Radtash

A scruffy, grey furred mongrel pads up the tavern. Casually, the mut looks up at the tavern sign and then glances around the street. It briefly nudges the tavern door with its nose, but finds it latched.

After a slight hesitation, it settles down into a corner a few feet from the door, keeping an active eye on the street and tavern entrance.

[sblock=ooc]Hello everyone, I am new here at enworld, and also new to PBP. My character, Radtash, has been submitted but not approved yet, but I would love to get started if possible.
