"Come on Kiara. I think poor Vanitri's not quite right in the head after what happened, and now he wants to gossip about you behind your back. He can't very well do that if you're not here, you know? Why don't we just go to the other room."

"If he's affected and a bit touched, doesn't that mean he might be dangerous? Tenebrynn lost his powers because his memory is gone, but Vanitri is still strong with a sword--I don't want my husband to be hurt."

*Laynie frowns.*

"I know Vanitri--he would never hurt a friend like that. It doesn't matter how messed up he was from memory loss."

"Frankly, I think you're both wrong. He doesn't agree with your prognosis and he doesn't trust any of us. Can't you see the look in his eyes? But why not Tenebrynn?"

"Because Tenebrynn also has the memory loss," Laynie nods, "Still...that makes me sad. Do you want to break y heart, Vanitri? Ah well, come on Kiara, let's head off."

"Trust me ladies, this is far from personal. We'll catch up with you later."

Vanitri removes his sword belt and sets it on a table off to the side.

"Many years ago, I refused to kill a someone simply because I would have likely killed Laynie in the process. Your husband is in no danger."

*Laynie nods. She was likely thinking back to that incident in her assurance to Kiara. Though Kiara is hesitant, they head over to the other room, and Rayne leaves to go prepare for her class.*

"I'll get stright to the point. Do you think we realy lost our memories? Or are we in some kind of trick to convince us that the Crux is safe? If it's a trick, I don't know how far we can trust the others, though they seem willing to help for the most part."

"No, but its quite an elaborate dreamworld if its something similar to that. I was thinking we were propelled forward in time. With the Crux being related directly to chronomancy, it might not be too big a stretch of the imagination. I had been exploring that possibility, but find it a difficult coincidence that the two of us are in the same time period. If all four of us are, then it would be even harder to fit together."

"Yes, and I find it unlikely we'd rule that the Crux wasn't dangerous. It was tearing reality appart at times, and the Tower had ceased containing it."

"I don't think we need to be antagonistic towards Laynie or the others here, but being wary of what we say around them is certainly pertinent. Though if she really is Sin, shes listening to us right now I'd bet. From what little I saw of her she seemed quite competent in the divinatory arts. I think we should move for now on gathering all our team back together if that prooves feasible. I had been thinking that after that we could visit the Crux again."
