Teleportation as forced movement: off a cliff?

This is how I would handle it.
- Cyan rubs his claws together "You may have won this battle, but I'll be back, and when you least expect it! Bwahahahahaha!" -

Really, if your DM includes a portal in the combat terrain, he had better plan on you using it. The rules are a bit murky as far as you teleporting someone *through* the portal (murky as in, it sounds wrong, but I don't think it is prohibited), but it is such a clever maneuver that only a DM who hates fun would deny you.
