Template / Wild Shape question.

If you have a template that grants ability increases, such as Feral, does it "carry over" when you Wild Shape / shapechange? Would the new form I assume have +4 Str, -2 Dex, +2 Con? Or do template ability increases only affect the base creature?

Not 100% sure on the question? Are you asking if you can shapechange into a base creature with a template or if you have a template applied to your base toon and then wildshape?

In the prior, Yes you can shapechange into creatures using tempaltes. see BoED, they have a celestial whildshape feat which can then be applied to any forms you can take.

In the later, no, because you lose your physical abilities when you wildshape, so any adjustments would also be lost.

For example if I have a 18 STR and change into a creature with 12 STR, it doesn't matter if I have the 18 STR from my base character or from a added template to my base character, as the new STR is still part of the new form.
