Temporarily suppress immunity?

For plot purposes, I need to impose permanent negative levels on a character that is immune to energy drain. Anyone know of a way of doing that within the rules? I know that I can just hand-wave it, but I'd like to use an existing mechanic.
There is a way, though it may take a lot. In D&D, the way to accomplish something that doesn't have anything more specific is to use a wish (or miracle or reality revision). Whether a lesser wish (or bend reality) would work is iffy, but at the very least I'd imagine the full-powered version should suffice.

I'm in favor of the idea of giving the warforged a different connection to the story.

C-3PO got his levels wiped in the last Star Wars movie, BTW.
