After originally scheduled to hit stores this November, the release date for the four-disc boxed set has been pushed up to October 21st... so it's less than a month to go!

I've already pre-ordered the Widescreen version.

This is excellent news! I've been waiting years for the Indiana Jones movies to come out on DVD, and now it'll be happening in less than three weeks!

Time to go pre-order my copies...

It's a four disc set, with the fourth disc being around 2.5 hours of documentaries and so on. Sounds brilliant.

Need I add that I can barely wait? I haven't seen a widescreen version of Raiders since the movie theater.

I just wish there was a way I could just buy Raiders (sorry, that's Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark --whatever) and not have to give Steven Spielberg MORE money for numbers 2 and 3.

But I guess they knew that if they released them separately they'd sell a million of 1, three-quarters of a million of 3 and half-a-dozen of 2, so this way they get to sell nine-tenths of a million of all three. It's smart, but it makes me cranky because I just want 1.

Sigh.
