Very interesting! Although I would rather have seen some of the table of contents concerning the Bestiary, this is quite intriguing as well!

Well I don't see the Halfling & Gnomes Chapter being much more than 12 pages.

Dwarves 20 pages lets say.

Gith 15 pages.

Elves because of the large subraces and multiple pantheons could be around 40 pages, I mean they have to cover Wood Elves, Avariel, Sea Elves, Drow, Shadar Kai, High Elves, Eldarin, and maybe wild elf subraces, each far different magically, biologically, and culturally from each other then most subraces of other races.

And you have the Dark Seldarine, Raven Queen, Seldarine, Eberron Elf religions maybe, and possibly the Yuirwood Pantheon for religions to cover.

And of course the wars between the subraces.

I mean yeah technically Tieflings will have more subraces then elves, but I don't think they are culturally distinct from each other and I don't know if they are biologically distinct, we do know they are magically distinct. I don't think there are say Fiernian Tiefling civilizations vs Levitusian Tiefling civilizations vs. Disian Tiefling Civilizations vs Glaysian Tiefling civilizations etc...

Not sure how much of that we will actually see, at least in detail. The subrace stats will be maybe ~5 pages, and the fluff seems to be very broad and high level. 40 pages seems unlikely, bit we'll know soon enough.

Actually I doubt the subracial stats will be 5 pages long even, its likely only 3 subraces, not even full races, with monster versions in the Beastiary. I mean Tieflings subraces stats and all fluff are a page or two at most according to the ToC and there are 8 of them there!!!

No its the fluff that will take up the space and the deities.

Looking at the ToC has me wondering if setting specific stuff will be in the Appendix section of the book.

Actually I doubt the subracial stats will be 5 pages long even, its likely only 3 subraces, not even full races, with monster versions in the Beastiary. I mean Tieflings subraces stats and all fluff are a page or two at most according to the ToC and there are 8 of them there!!!

No its the fluff that will take up the space and the deities.

The Tieflings options in UA are about two pages, and the Eladrin plus Elf subraces are ~5 pages, which doesn't account for art assets. Don't expect we will see too much about Elf deities, past Corellion.

So, checking the other previews, we get Duergar tables on 84 and Gith stats on 96: so we get the whole Elf chapter and probably most of the Dwarves in 50 pages.

If the last blood war page is 34, then its 62 pages till page 96, that would easily give Dwarves 22 pages of total space and Elves 40 pages.

Of course that means Gith and Gnomes and Halfings have about 20 pages split between them, which I could see.

Gith only have two subraces and have no Gods (unless you count Zerthomon), and their history is pretty straight forward compared to say elves or dwarves.

Illithids enslaved them, they revolted under Gith, who got trapped in hell, with one side becoming Githyanki who allied with Red Dragons under the rule of a Lich Queen in the Astral Plane and the Githzerai settled in Limbo imposing order on it with their displined minds. And the two Gith races fight each other alot and the Illithids even more in a three way war. Maybe detail each subraces main cities. And talk about their unique physology and psionic power.

There isn't the racial, religious and cultural diversity that other races experience that elves or fiends experience or even Dwarves, the Gith appear to be in two monotone societies based on subraces.

96 is the Gith stats in chapter four, which probably come a bit of a way into chapter four, the Dwarf chapter ends somewhere between 84 and 96.

At the moment, we know that the canoloth, marraenoloth, and dergholoth will be updated, at the very least. I would be very surprised if the piscoloth and yagnoloth failed to join them, along with (hopefully) more types as well...

I knew about the marraenoloth, but not the other ones, where were they confirmed?

Someone in the past few days stated they had done some artwork for the dergholoth. I believe something similar was said about the canaloth, but I don't remember the particulars on that one, that was a week or two ago.
