The Blue & The Grey (Blut Zucker Sex Magic)

"No, just an occultist. The things left in the vault all lent magical power to the ritual used to enter it. With last night's correspondence of Jupiter and Mercury, the thief needed to cast his spell at midnight or wait another two weeks."

Adrianna's mouth twitched into a semblance of a smile. The myth that Feds had no sense of humour was just that, a myth. "Alright. What sort of spell are we talking about?" she asked.

Not that I believe her, but it could go along ways to establishing motive. Shannan thought privately to herself

"The magus opened a portal from his location into the vault. The ritual itself is not hard, but choosing the trappings would have been complex, since he most likely had never seen the inside before. Hence the things that were left on his way out, all of which are associated to the right hermetic decans."

"Mister Parsons had completed a number of powerful rituals in the five or so years prior to his death. It seems probable that the thief was looking for one of these workings, or secrets making it easier to attempt something of his own devising."

With a bemused look, she adds, "I don't know why they'd bother with the money, though."

"Easy enough. They have to pay their hangers on and 'minions' if you will, not to mention simple greed. " Adrianna replied with a quick grin. "That's the most common motive for burglary."

Get Katrina to submit to having her fingerprints taken (Adrianna may come off as somebody non-threatening, but she isn't stupid.) and also tell her not to leave the country anytime soon as well as leaving an address where she can be reached.

She looks at Katrina. "Do you have any idea who could have done this?" she asked. "I mean, if you came to me of your own free will, you surely must have an idea of possible suspects,"

"My best guess is that he is a member of a German hermetic lodge, one of the older ones that managed to hang on through the war. I know a few of them by reputation, but no names. Even if I did, they would be false.

Can I look at the things in Parsons' box?"

"No, not right now. That's evidence and I'm afraid I can't let you see it, as you're not FBI. Against regulations you know," Adrianna looked apologetic.
