The book you were all excited to get... and now gathering dust...

Dieties and Demigods, for the same reasons mentioned already. But I knew what I was getting going in.

But really the worst was Stronghold Builder, because I really like that stuff and was hoping for something much better than what I got. It was cookie cutter and didn't even try to have a basis in logic, reality or history. I get much better use out of the building appendix in Magical Medieval Society: Western Europe, which is only a handful of pages.

Hmm.. got a couple of those.

Farscape RPG - I actually like it's set up, but it is added to the pile of settings I'll never get to run/play in.

Mummy: The Ressurection - A great read and another neat White Wolf book. Unfortunately, all of the White Wolf books just sit there, collecting dust.

Oriental Adventures & Rokugan - Only reason I have these is one of the other DMs was going to run a campaign there. Never happened, though.

Until very recently, d20 Star Wars - Finially decided to polish off the books and work on a campaign for it. Next step is getting a group to play.

d20 Modern - Our campaign is currently on indefinate suspension.

Good, heavens, the list is too huge to post. I don't mind books collecting dust, as long as I'm able to read them when I want them, though. And I do tend to be very kitbash in nature, taking elements from a widely disparate group of books and incorporating them into a single setting.

The Epic Level Handbook - I received it as a gift, and will probably never play in a game that high.

Also, Call of Cthulhu - loved the book, but I haven't found anyone wanting to run or play a horror game around here (not that I have time for it).

Wow, so many ....

*Dark Sun, both editions. I loved the idea, but never got to play.

*D20 Modern. Sounded interesting, but in actual play did not stack up well against Alternity. Plus for some reason I can never think up good adventure ideas for modern gaming.

*Scarred Lands. I just never felt it "calling" to me once I had it.

Of course the great thing is just because they're dusty now, doesn't mean I can't wipe 'em off and use 'em sometime down the road. Though it does seem less and less likely that I will as time goes on.

You know, we should all coordinate what retirement home we go to. We would have a heck of a good time dusting some of this stuff off. :D

Rokugan-related stuff. I love the setting but can't find a group.

Arms and Equipment Guide and Savage Species. I was really excited about AAEG, but it managed to be at once too short and not very useful.
