Hehe, starting in the shallow ends for sissies!
I'm comfortable enough with my manhood to live with that. Bring on the crippled kobolds!

We should have enough XP for 2nd level after this fight, right?

I am certain you cannot use Mage Hand like that, or anything else for that matter.
*Pfft*

My character isn't adjacent, but the ghostly hand is adjacent. And having a spectral hand making obscene gestures in my face would distract me.

Folks can use Acrobatics for stupid stuff, like swinging off chandeliers, so why not Bluff?

The standard action, limited to a single ally, once per encounter is cool. I just had the idea and wanted to see how it played.[/sblock]

[sblock=Strategery (for da boyz)]Hey, Dunamin, you up for me directing an acid arrow at the opponent to the south of Woe? Your PC might take a hit, so I'm clearing it with you before trying.[/sblock]

OOC: Tander did in fact damage both foes, but only 1 became bloodied, which I will always try to point out to you for tactical purposes.

Even better, I can arrange so you can hit both bugs but not Woe. I can shift to F12 for instance and Tide of Iron a bug into H13. Think I'm gonna save that for next round, though - better take full advantage of Tander's current aid to Woe's attack bonus and try to land one of my biggies this round.

Lessee if they try to pull anythin' funny first, though - they have the turn at the moment. Should be able to keep 'em in place, since I got the northern one marked.[/sblock]

Especially since Tander's remaining powers are all ranged - he'll need to shift away to avoid provoking OAs, so Woe won't get CA on the bloodied bad guy anymore.

The Bugbears speak to one another in a guttural language and then as one shift away from Tander and bring their morningstars down upon Woe. But the warrior is able to twist aside easily avoiding both blows.

Palindrome - You're up!
Tander
Bugbear 1 47 damage (right)
Bugbear 2 25 damage (left)
Woe 21/29 hp

Dogging their movements with superior martial skill, Woe seizes the chance to punish the bugbear squeezing out of flanking position with a swift jab of his spear.

OOC: Combat Challenge allows Woe to make a basic attack as an immediate interrupt on their turn against the one he targetted earlier, hitting AC 17 and dealing 10 pts damage.
Also, Woe speaks Goblin, if that’s what the bugbears used.

With renewed spirit, Woe laughs confidently as he dodges and leans away from the huge morningstars flailing wildly past his head.

“You wanna’ dance with me, lil’ buggies? You wanna’ dance?! Let me show you pathetic weak soon-to-be-perforated sissies how it’s done!”

The warrior lunges out in a low posture for the most heavily damaged bugbear, thrusting his spear cruelly in an aim for one of its kneecaps. Woe grins in satisfaction as he draws blood, circling around it to get out of their flanking and closer to Tander.

OOC: Steel Serpent Strike, 23 vs AC, on hit 7 damage and target is slowed and cannot shift until end of my next turn, target is marked regardless of whether I hit.
If Woe’s target was the one on the right he shifts to H12. If it was the one on the left he shifts to F12.

[sblock=OOC]Well, wasted my Encounter with that utterly crappy damage. At least I managed to relocate in a tactically sound position – they won’t be able to flank me next turn without suffering an attack.[/sblock]

Woes does not manage to connect as the creatures move around him, but he does strike home shortly after sinking the tip of his spear into a goblinoid knee and slowing the creature.

OOC: Woe is now in H12.

I wouldn't worry. Due to Woe's mark it will have a hard time hitting Tander, and if it even tries it Woe can retaliate with an immediate interrupt.

In this case, perhaps Tander could circle around to flank after he has used his ranged power safely from afar? AC 18+ ain’t easy to hit so the combat advantage could easily be the deciding factor.[/sblock]
