The Crucible of Freya vs. The Lost City of Barakus

Funnily enough, a new group I just started up with *thanks meetup.com!* and the new DM is using my Necromancer stuff to start a campaign up. I have enough material that he could just stick to Necro stuff and we'd be 20th level in the end heh. He's almost done with Wizard's Amulet and we'll be finishing it tonight, followed by Crucible of Frey and Tomb of Abysthor. Considering I even have the 1st 2 mods of Rappan Athuk and I also own Necropolis, plus about another 7 Necro mods, I think our characters are set if he just wants to stick to modules heh.

I saw some people give the Wizard's AMulet crap for being so short in rpg.net reviews. Funny, first session with our group went 7 hours and we were just up to the last fight. Then again, we also did LOADS of RPing in town to get into character and to get the group together. This new group has been hella fun!

Leaning toward Crucible

I have both, although I haven't read much of Barakus. I'm hoping to convince one of my players to run it so that I can play. I have used Crucible to great effect, particularly with the bonus material from the Necromancer Website.

I think that it depends if you would prefer a small locale with scattered encounters or a more central location with everything happening there.
