The Crux of the Matter

(OOC: Maybe he will once these tournaments end--he's GMing so many tournament games, it must be tons of credits. In any case, I'm planning on giving additional RP XP beyond the puzzle XP for this conversation and opening up more of the plot. That still probably isn't enough though, but here's a thought, though a dangerous gamble--Deck of Many Things: The 70+ version I use has a lot more cards in it, and some of them give XP (also none of them is as bad as the Void!). Also some of them cast Restoration on the drawer.)

(The tournament is supposed to be a single adventure as Velmont said. From the looks of it, that would be 9 credits.
Convenient deck I must say. Trying to tempt us? :p Of course, Ashnar would consider it worth little more than kindling, and would certainly discourage anyone from drawing from the deck.)

"Considering what's at stake, I don't think any of us have inclination to the contrary. As evidenced by Tenebrynn's desire to be part of the fight."

(OOC: Oh, it was always going to be there--and it won't be convenient unless you get markedly lucky; I like the DoMT :] And yes, trying to tempt you ;))

"Yes, good. Well, best think of what to do quickly before your elf there collapses again," Guile suggests.

OOC: I have 11 credits, and another 8 or so potentialy coming soon.

"A deck eh? Sounds interesting," Vanitri says. "And I've managed to keep Laynie safe so far, I certaintly don't intend to stop now."

"Baleful Polymorph... do yout hink it could stand long enough for him to sleep? Tenebrynn, I think you have among your spells one that allow you limited Polymorph. Opale have the same, Alter Self, isn't the name? Would that be enough to maintin his form? If he can sleep, he could memorize a few of these spells. If Senex could memorize two of these spells, he could use one on Tenebrynn so he could sleep and then dispel it so he could cast again Tenebrynn would cast an Alter Self, giving him a more stable form (and something that would give him a more warrior form too could be interesting, have you tought of a troglodyte, they have a tough hide, anyway...) With a few Alter Self prepared, he could be quite good to help us to get the Crux. on our way out, we could come back here, just teh time for Tenebynn to be turned into a puppy again, so he could have a more stable form for longuer time, the time to reach Orussus. I am quite sure there, we could get some help from Grendath, where I have some contact, or from Hyrag, who are always willing to help people." suggest Rinaldo.

[SBLOCK=OOC]Hogarth doesn't level at the same time of Rinaldo. Each time Rinaldo win some XP, he wins an amount equals to [(Hogath's level/Rinaldo's Level)*Rinaldo's XP]. Even if Rinaldo is about to level, Hogarth still needs 1000 XP for leevl 6. It means he need 7000 XP befroe resturation, so Rinaldo would need around 9500 XP to see Hogarth cast Restauration.

I have 1 credit , and for the Tournement will bring mroe, but tehre is two days lefts, and it is just one big messy adventure, so I should gain only 1 credit per month, even if there always been two or three separated threead.[/SBLOCK]

"Permanent? We don't want it to be permanent, we need it to be able to get rid of it... but if Alter Self is not enough, we can forget that... so the best thing we can have, is seeing Tenebrynn turned into a puppy... Tenebrynn, do you have many spells that you could cast without the need of gesture? If he turn you into a parrot, you could still be able to talk... and thus cast a few spells, if that the only possibility.

And what is that deck you're talking about Vanitri?"
ask Rinaldo.

*Senex sighs.*

"No, Baleful Polymorph makes the target lose all its abilities, and eventually possibly its mind," Senex replies, "That's why I didn't offer it as an option at first. It isn't a good one...but better than dying and being absorbed by this Oversoul."

"Damned that %?&@$ curse..." swears Rinaldo. "And if Tenebrynn become part of the Oversoul, what would be his chance to come back as he is... even more after the desctuction of the tower and most probably, the Oversoul?"
