Azaroth's magic missile smashes into the driver as Beamer continues concentrating on his illusion, but only Banion's mind blade finally drops the woman (total 14 damage). Gur targets an unarmored elf, but misses (natural 1).
1, a female half-elf in banded mail, grabs a quarterstaff, and jumps off the cart moving a bit to the south.
The unarmored elf (2) scans the path, apparently waiting for one of you to show himself (readied action).
3, a human, grabs a spear, then dodges off to the north.
6 digs out a scythe, but does not move yet.
4 starts mumbling and weaving with his hands. (Azaroth:
You recognize the typical motions of a monster summoning spell

Beamer fires his crossbow at #4 and reloads. If #4 is somehow felled by his turn (unlikely) he fires instead at #3. If he can not target #4 while prone, he stands and takes a 5ft step to L8.

OOC: Note that Gur has rapid shot.
Crossbow shot (1d20+6=16, 1d6=2)
If he must stand to shoot, then moving to L8 puts him within 30 ft for an additional +1 to hit and +1 to damage.
 



ooc: Quick! The DM's clearly busy somwhere else! Let's kill all the monsters before he gets back and rake in experience like mad! We can say they all took the total defense action, being afraid of our greatness, yea, that's the ticket...

(Beamer is on L7; Banion on L11)

As Azaroth reveals himself to cast his magic missile, 2 casts a spell as well (readied action) on the sorcerer. A short twinge of fear rushes through Azaroth, but he shakes it off almost immediately (Will save total 15 - success), though some uncertainty remains (shaken for 1 round). The magic missile hits 4 (5 damage), and he grinds his teeth as he continues to concentrate on his spell. Beamer's shot also hits (total 7 damage), but the man continues with his spell.
Banion tosses a mindblade at 3, squarely hitting the woman's head (disabled). Gur's first arrow, into her stomach, drops her (total damage 13). His second shot hits 4, and this time, the man's concentration falters (total 10 damage). He glares madly at the archer.
1 downs some liquid from a vial, and makes a jump that almost brings him to the upper path. 4 takes out a symbol that looks a lot like a raven holding a blade, and casts another spell. Some shimmering now appears to surround the man.
6 jumps from the cart onto the slope, after pouring some oil onto his scythe.
2 casts an acid splash at Banion after taking a step, but it only rains down on rock.

ooc: Knight, I moved all my books home on sunday, would you mind explaining to me the status effects of Shaken again?
 

Beamer would rather not see what that oil on the sickle does. He stands, takes a 5 foot step to L8, points a finger at the scythe wielding enemy (6) mumbles words of power in a nearly feverish tone. A corsucating black ray flies at the enemy.
Edit: I'd like to add that Beamer drops prone after this attack. If its too late to change, then he is still standing.

OOC: ray of enfeeblement (1d20+7=13, 1d6+1=2) Perhaps one day I will roll above a 2 penalty on a ray of enfeeblement. :(
Spells remaining 0th: 6 1st: 3. Bolts fired 1.
