The Dance of Souls

Banion tumbles down the slope to I 13 avoiding attacks of opportunity. ooc: The tumble is for the first two squares, which therefore count as 30' of movement, while the last 10' of movement is normal. This counts as a double move for the little halfling.

If this would involve falling damage, such damage is reduced or eliminated by Banions skill in tumbling and jumping. Both rolls succeed.

Got to spread out, get Gur a clear shot. Banion thinks, as he leaves his enemies between himself and the ranger.

Seeing Banion roll down the hill, he sees the strategy unfolding. Eyes half open, spidery words of magic ascending and descending in a nearly incoherent pitch, it indeed appears that Beamer acts in the midst of a fever. As his vision clears and he raises his hand, another black ray strikes the cleric (4). Perhaps "Cato" is right. The ray from the wizard appears to have powered my magic up indeed. He then retreats to L5.

The cleric, 4, grunts as the ray hits him, and he and Cado watch in amazement as Banion tumbles past them and down the slope, safely. Gur takes a step back, and aims at 1, but misses both times. He must have stepped on some rubble that gave way, misdirecting his shots.
Cado advances against Gur, and does infact manage to scratch him with her quarterstaff (1 damage), while 4 advances against Beamer, but his stab is too clumsy to hit.

Azaroth now advances into melee, striking at 4, but misses.

Beamer steps back to get some room, glad to see Azaroth step into the fray. He chants some different words while making a throwing motion all halflings know and love. A blob of acid forms in his hand as it comes forward, but drops right at his feet. With a look of disappointment, he then reloads his crossbow.

ooc: Go figure. The one week I'm gone and everyone decides to post every day. lol..

Thanks for RPing Az Knight you shouldn't need to do it again.

Azaroth's inexperience with the sword in combat is definately apparent with another attempt to hit turned into a miss.

(Sorry, my fault. Two fights at the same time, one with a good 25 combattants, was rather draining)

His spell dropping way short, Beamer reloads his crossbow, but Banion smiles with relief that his mindblade did actually find its goal, impacting the cleric's side. Gur steps back, deciding to shoot a better-aimed single arrow at Cado, but it plinks away against the armor ineffectually. He drops his bow and grabs his quarterstaff instead, seeing that further retreat would just reduce his chances to hit.

Cado follows up, her quarterstaff coming down with such force that one might think the weakening spell has worn out already, but Gur is hardly wounded by the massive strike (crit; 4 damage). The priest stabs his spear at Azaroth, but misses again.

(Map soon, Gimp's acting up)
