I just posted this in another thread, but I think it is an idea worth exploring further.
The Dastardly Bard Archetype (named just off the top of my head) takes the bard class and replace the spells and spell progression with rogue talents, which would be gained every other level like a rogue. The exception would be sneak attack related talents, unless the character has Sneak Attack from multiclassing. Advanced Talents can be take after level 10.
Flavorful? Yes. Is this balanced? If anything, the loss of the spells means that the Bard loses a lot of utility for what amounts to a set of specialised bonus feats. But I think between PFC, AGP, and soon-to-be Ultimate Combat, potential power loss is made up for by all the options.
