"Perhaps later, then. In a more private environment?" the Count offers.

Without waiting for answer (and not expecting one) he turns back to Professor Galvan.

"So we heard that you are quite a blackguard, Professor," he addresses Galvan, underlining the irony of his statement with a grin and an exaggerated wink. "Tell us this tale, as I'm sure most of us have heard enough academic talk to last for some time."

"While it is unseemly to speak of such things. I think you deserve a explaination. The young man was a student of mine. Quite a sharp mind to boot. But he tended to chase after the phantasic. I took him under my wing and he introduced me to his sister. She was a lovely creature with such a pleasent demeanor. I was so smitten by her that we courted for a month or so. But alas, due to our age difference things did not work out. Jonathan was against his sister seeing me from the start but he kept his thoughts to his self. Recently, his sister has disappeared and for some reason he blames me for it. I have not see her in over 2 months." He shrugs his shoulders.

"I am professor Galvan." says a distinguished gentleman is a grey suit. "You have a package for me?" He turns to Angus and the two burly bartenders. "It's quite alright gentlemen. Let's see what he has? I think I can stand alittle more excitement. I am not a old man yet." he says with a smile.
"Well, don't say I didn't warn you" Angus says. And with an angry glint in his eye, from the corner of his mouth "Dobber, you better play this straight, or I am gonna make you regret the day your father looked at your mother with a naughty look in his eyes".

Professor Galvan looks at the box with a thoughtful expression and then he turns to Count. "This is more in your line of expertise I think. What do you think?"

Dr Schiff follows Galvan for a while, wearing one of those I-know-what's-good-for-you-better-than-you-do doctor's looks.

The look is shortlived, and is replaced by concentration with a touch of confusion as he tries to use follow the subsequent many-sided exchange with his imperfect grasp of English.

"My... what is that?" he asks, peering at the cube with his brow furrowed mightily.

Dr. Marley is surprised by the appearance of the box. "Where did you get that box? That must be some type of box from China. Those are Chinese dieties on the side. I have never seen anything like it."

(OOC: Does Dr. Marley recognize the symbols from his current studies of archetypes?)

"I think your ascertations that it is from China are quite likely. As a matter of fact, teh box was given to us by a chinaman. He requested that we deliver it to Dr Galvan. He said that you were expecting it and would know what to do with it...and um, compensate us for our efforts."

"Really, from what region is he from? This would assist my research very much." questions Dr. Marley. "Did he per chance say what the box was for?"

"I'm not certain what region he is from. Frankly, I don't even know the chap. He seemed ratehr hurried and asked us to deliver teh package for him. He said that Dr Galvan wwould know what to do with it. That is pretty much teh extent of it."

Angus stands next to Dr Marley, open scepticism on his face when he hears the not quite convincing explenation of Dobber as to how he got the box.
Mmmh, not only is he rude, he must think me quite the imbicile if he thinks I'll buy this story. I'll ask some more serious questions later I think. We'll see how this plays out.
