Small world. I went to high school in Hillsboro, OR. Of course, back then Hillsboro had a population of 35,000. Now? 110,000. Of course, Intel's investment probably had a lot to do with that, with not 1, not 2, but 4 large campuses in Hillsboro.

I love road trips, but all of my real ones were with my parents.

The closest I ever came to doing a road trip with friends was driving from San Antonio to Austin to see Dread Zeppelin or King’s X. And for those, we drove back home after the shows.

My old gaming crew at Gencon 2010. I'm the one kneeling with the Miskatonic shirt. Four of these guys are from my original group when we started playing in junior high so...35ish years ago. The "new" guy I've only been friends with for 20 years. As always tends to happen, everyone is busy with life and families so only a few of us are in an online game together right now, but we all try to get together for special one-offs when we can.

After I had a few minutes to catch my breath and not look like I was dying after my first half-marathon in 2023.

Had to find the shot with my D&D shirt. This was the only one I could find. Great dinner, good friends, and an awesome RPG session the day after.
