The Faerie Woods [Knight Otu Judging]

Is the wall easier to move on? If so, Rodimus will get up and climb on it (or hop on, if it is low enough), then next round charge the darn redcap and grapple it. Otherwise keep trying to circle that damn wall at half-speed. And keep on cursing in orcish.

OoC: Vital statistics: AC 18 (mage armor), unarmed strike +4 melee, grapple +8 (d6+3, x2). Climb +3, Jump +5 (+2 synergy from Tumble), Balance +4 (+2 synergy from Tumble). Charge modifiers or modifier for higher ground not factored in.

And I want that sling. d6 damage, yum :) Oh, and sorry for not being around. I was a tad frustrated at Rodimus for being such a klutz, and a tad tired from work.

Percy

OOC: For round 4, she's already shot a magic missile, her 6th of 7 first level spell slots. Now, in round 5, her 7th of 7...

BIC: Percy, seeing that Gorefoot is now the target, fires again at the redcap. "Eat purple fire, bonehead!" Dmg: 5 pts. After that, she'll stand.

Ishmael bends down, pouring unto Percy with a touch of his hand, all of the healing energy inside him (4 pts). After that, he goes off again, leaping here and there as quickly as he could to get to where he needed to be: in front of the Redcap.

Jump Checks
(1d20+10=22, 1d20+10=11, 1d20+10=30, 1d20+10=14, 1d20+10=22)

But the halfling's luck would not hold for long. His second leap (to H24) did not land him well. A misstep hurls him into the rubble strewn earth.

Ishmael instinctively rolls to reduce the damage of the fall. He then picks himself up from amidst the rubble, intending to regain his footing (next round) and continue his approach.

"This rubble is treacherous," Ishmael spits out dirt in a decidedly unheroic manner. "but it shall not hold us back for long, Fiend!"

OOG: How injured does the Redcap look? Is he severely wounded or is he just warming up?

Round 5 concludes
Blasting at the Redcap once more, Persephone does 5 damage. She climbs to her feet with a helping hand from Ishmael, who's touch send a flow of life energy into her, lessening her wound. Moving further into the battle, Ishmael gets to H24 before falling. Trying to control his anger, the little Knight concentrates on his opponent.

He is very much afraid that the Redcap has withstood all of the damage so far without dipping deeply into its reserves. It looks to be enjoying itself, even.

Round 6 Begins

Initiative
Redcap (40 damage)
Nars
Gorefoot (12 damage)
Rodimus
Persephone (9 damage)
Ishmael

[will edit to update tomorrow morning]
Edit: I believe the damage figures are now correctly updated. Feel free to let me know if I missed something. ;)

Percy

"Thanks, Ishmael." Percy mutters as he leaps off, leaving her feeling much better. But the battle is too intense to spend time on nicities.

"Blackbeard! Flanking position! Leave your bolts with your crossbow!"

Percy pulls out her immovable rod (move action), clutching it tightly, but keeping one finger loosely over the trigger button. She then attempts to move to H24, where Nars' crossbow lies. If she feels herself falling, she intends to punch the button and hang onto the rod to keep from falling.

OOC: Perhaps some sort of reflex save would be appropriate in case she falls. Perhaps not. Even if she makes no further progress, at least she'd stay on her feet. The 'slings and arrows of outrageous fortune' are part of the adventuring lifestyle, but Percy thinks skinned knees are decidedly unladylike! I didn't catch what balance roll would be required to stay on her feet, but her roll is a 15+2=17, so she'll probably be fine.

Hearing Percy's instructions, Nars would like to toss her his bolts.

OOC: Going to have to ask for a ruling. How many actions would it take to toss his bolts to Percy? Can he do it without dropping or storing either of his weapons by holding both weapons in one hand? How much easier would it be to shrug off his quiver and leave the bolts in I21?

Interesting mechanic... let's see:

The quiver is strapped on, much like a backpack or a shield. unlimbering it would require at least one free hand and a move action. If you spend another move action to hold both weapons in your left hand (which means you wouldn't be threatening a square) I'll throw in a gentle lob of the quiver to Persephone for free. Make a ranged attack roll of at least 8 for her to catch it, and on a natural one the contents will be spilled all over the landscape.

Edit: Oh, and the balance DC is 13, so Persephone is fine. When I set this up, I thought that was reasonably low, but the ensuing havok has shown otherwise! :)

Round 6 Begins

The Redcap, hearing Persephone barking orders, directs his attention back at his orginal target. The shot is accurate and while Persephone's mage armor warps it's path away from the center of her body it still strikes her hard in the side. She takes d6+7=13 points of damage, and crumples into the rubble, dropping both rod and crossbow. [Persephone is at -1 hp]

Round 6 continues

(Nars goes here. Need clarification especially as Persephone is K.O.'d.)
Edit: Nars switches his weapons into the same hand, tossing the quiver toward persephone in hopes that she will soon recover.

Gorefoot attempts to climb to his feat, but stumbles again almost as fast as he does so. (d20=6)

Rodimus climb up onto the damaged wall without too much trouble (d20+3=14) The climb puts him on top of F25, if he wishes he may get as far as F22 this round.

Persephone fails to stabilize, and takes another point of damage. [Now at -2]

Not bothering to get to his feet this time, Gorefoot scrambles on all fours towards the redcap like an enraged badger.

OOC: Is there a crawling mechanic? Basically, Gorefoot is looking at getting to the square in front of the Redcap (even if he's prone), and then standing up.
