The Faerie Woods [Knight Otu Judging]

ooc: Sorry if I got the positions wrong. If Percy is in the same square or even within 5' of the objects she intends to pick up, no balance roll will be required. If Persephone is in H24, where is Ishmael? Should be 5' away from Persephone at the moment.

Re-read that. I think that while Persephone stated her intention to move, she was knocked unconcious first. Feel free to convince me otherwise, but for now I think the map is correct.

Round 8 Concludes

Initiative
Redcap (40 damage)
Nars
Gorefoot (12 damage of 27 hp/31 raging)
Rodimus
Persephone (15 damage of 21 hp)
Ishmael

Nars takes a 5' step to H18, and tries to make a sneak attack on the Redcap. The butt end of the Redcap's scythe knocks his hand aside, causing him to miss.

Gorefoot stands and throws a javelin, striking the Redcap solidly. Such a throw would do 6 points of damage if it had been dealt with a cold iron weapon... was it one such? Edit: As it was not, the Redcap takes no damage.

Stepping to F19 to flank with Nars, Rodimus strikes the Redcap, but his blow are ineffective due to the Redcaps innate resistance to damage.

(Persephone goes here. Will resolve after we have some agreement as to where she is and whether the crossbow and bolts are within her reach.)
Edit: Persephone tries to get to the crossbow and bolt, but makes no progress and nearly falls. Using her rod, she manages to avoid tumbling.

Ishmael heals Persephone once more, this time for 3 points.

OOC: Sadly, no it wasn't. I'll certainly be upgrading them to cold iron after this adventure, but that doesn't help much right now.

OOC: If you reread it, I'm sure you're right. Ok, then. After standing, Percy will proceed to where the quiver lies, around H24, using her immobile rod to reduce her chance of falling. Perhaps I should reuse my last roll for that, which was a 4.

BIC: As she struggles across the rubble, she shouts, "Grab him, Roddy!"

Round 9 Begins

Initiative
Redcap (40 damage)
Nars
Gorefoot (12 damage of 27 hp/31 raging)
Rodimus
Persephone (12 damage of 21 hp)
Ishmael

With a vicious cut, the redcap slashes Rodimus for 21 points of damage. The half orc drops to his knees, shocked at the massive gash in his torso, and falls unconcious. He appears to still be alive. (-3 hp) The Redcap takes a 5' step to F17.

"Rust!" Nars swears as Rodimus hits the ground. He edges forward warily keeping an eye on the redcap and stoops to pickup the redcap's sling. Without a ranged weapon, perhaps we can continue to injure it from a distance. Though someone will have to tend to Rodimus soon. But it has taken a brutal amount of punishment and appeared to be barely breaking a sweat. Those flaming dart's of Percy's would have laid low any hardy warrior he had fought with or against.

OOC: 5 foot step to G19. Fight defensively and ready an action attack with attack the redcap if it comes within threat range. If anyone wants to shout some orders to Nars, I'm all ears. I frankly have no idea what I should be doing. :)
AC 17 (flatfooted, but +3 for defensively) If ready action triggerred: dagger

Rodimus was just about to try another hold on the redcap when his chest was torn forcefully open. He had been stabbed, pummeled and cut before, but this was way over what his mind could take, and it made an emergecy shut down. As the ground rises to greet his face, he lets out a last curse in orcish at the redcap.

Percy

OOC: Holy Eric's Grandmother! Looks like it's time to change my avatar. I'm disguising myself as someone important. None of you will guess who. :uhoh:

Percy continues struggling forward towards the bolts, and calls out to Nars. "My sling - this way!"

Percy also empaths Fridly. "Sweetie, around behind that mean one, I think I'm going to need you!"
Balance check: 9, bummer.

OOC2: Hope you aren't offended, Paitlin - Just keeping things lively!

OOG: Ishmael tries to jump toward H20 but lands prone on his third jump (G23). He stands up as a move action.

Jump Checks toward H20 (1d20+10=21, 1d20+10=26, 1d20+10=14, 1d20+10=23, 1d20+10=11, 1d20+10=15)

"Thou art welcome, Per-"

Ishmael turns just in time to see Rodimus fall to the Redcap's scythe. Curses! This Fiend is more than a match for any one of us. It laid Rodimus low with but a single swing! I have to give Nars and Gorefoot mine aid!

He speaks quietly enough so that his voice only carries over to Percy and no farther. "If thou hast any more purple flame in thee, I wouldst suggest using it, Percy. Thine fires seem to be the only thing injuring it"

The Halfling scans the ground for suitable landing spots and begins a series of short leaps and bounds toward the Redcap. At this time, he had the wand in one hand and the glaive, mid-haft, in the other.

Unfortunately, he miscalculates his third landing and, unbalanced by the polearm in his left hand, he slips into a pile of rubble. Ishmael rolls instinctively to cushion the blow. Though covered in dust and dirt, he stands up resolutely and with a pained grin upon his features. He is now a few feet closer to his goal.
