The Faerie Woods [Knight Otu Judging]

Gorefoot looks curiously at Ishmael and says, "He ... He got away?" It is clear that the voice coming out of his body is still somewhat disturbing to him.

At Persephone's comment he looks at her and says, "Of course it's me. Who else would I be?" He looks down at his hands and body, and a shocked expression slowly comes to his face.

"What happened to me Percy? The last thing I remember I ..." He trails off staring at his hands.

OOC: Sorry folks, I had intermittent computer access for the better part of the day.

Percy

Percy throws her head back and laughs. She then rushes to the halfling and gives him a big hug. "Fondar, it is you." She pushes him back to arms length, holding his shoulders firmly.

"Listen. That redcap killed you. Stuck his scythe right in your....well, anyway. Now you're back. We found a scroll of druidic reincarnation in the redcap's things. He's been killing druids too, no doubt. So we brought you here. Meet Fasroth - your savior! We found you, and he cast the spell on you. And here you are. You look a bit different, eh? But it's the same you inside. And you're about the same size. And we still love you. Don't we boys?" She glances back triumphantly at the others."

She marches back to Fasroth and gives him a big hug too. "Thanks so much. You won't regret this. Gorefoot here is a mighty warrior. Don't let his size fool you. And he's on your side." she says confidently.

After a bit of small talk, she broaches another couple topics to the druid.

"Listen, Fasroth. We've also found a sword. It's been broken, but I think it may be fey-bane, and could be very useful when we fight that redcap again. Do you know anywhere around here that might be able to mend it?"

"Also, I'm afraid I ate some food from the Fey Lord. Now I can't seem to eat normal food. Do you know anything about that?"

Rodimus just hrmphs as Pershophone asks whether they love Gorefoot. There's a, somewhat uncharasteristic in a non-combat situation, grin on the half-orc's tusked mouth as he waits for the princess to realise that the gnome-halfling's new body did not come clothed.

OoC: At least, I think that's the case based on my reading of the spell. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong

OOC: Hey, Gorefoot's not bashful ;)

Gorefoot accepts her hug without complaint or embarrasment. "It ... killed me?" He leaps down from the slab with uncharacteristic grace, and then nearly topples to the ground. He rights himself and says, "If we are going after it again, I'd better get used to this new body. Where is my stuff?" He appears remarkably un-ruffled by his death. OOC: Ah, the joys of a simple mind. :D

Aquiring his gear and changing, he gives a brief, "Thanks." to Fasroth and begins going through some gnomish combat drills in an attempt to familiarize himself with his new body.

Edit - Forgot the following.

Before going through the drills, Gorefoot takes a moment to silently offer his hand to Ishmael (Gorefoot appears not to have notice the gunk and goo covering the small halfling.), and then to Nars, and finally to Rodimus.

OOC: Patlin, I'm going to go ahead and make the changes to my character sheet, and hope no judges have any issue with it.

I noticed you changed your racial bonuses, such as eliminating the dodge bonus against dodging and adding the bonus to saving throws. I may very well be wrong, but I do not think the changes from reincarnation are that profound. It lists a specific set of changes, including stats, size, and base movement rate, which would appear to exclude other changes.

This is a pretty fundamental question, so it would be nice to have a judge ruling... might even want to bring it up in the general discussion thread.

The reincarnated creature gains all abilities associated with its new form, including forms of movement and speeds, natural armor, natural attacks, extraordinary abilities, and the like, but it doesn’t automatically speak the language of the new form.
(Emphasis mine. Gorefoot's a halfling now, and gains halfling abilities.)

OOC: I'm pretty certain the answer to this question is yes, but he loses all gnome abilities as well, correct?

(Since we don't want people suiciding themselves for a ton of racial abilities when reincarnating, my answer is yes. I wanted to bring this up myself, actually.)

Nars shakes Gorefoot's hand warmly, thankful he did not come back as some foul creature. Nars face breaks into a smile for the first time since fighting the bandits in the inn. "It's, er, good to have y- you back."

Nars then turns to Fasroth, awaiting an answer to Percy's question.
