The other papers are histories and technical documents concerning the necklace and its maker, nothing in it seems of any immediate importance. It is possible the Redcap either discovered the existence of the necklace from the documents or possibly sought the documents out in an effort to establish the necklace's location.

Fasroth has no idea. In order to ask the Thorns, you will need to re-enter the Faerie Woods. It's your understanding that they will seek you out when you re-enter the wood.
