Ishmael takes Gorefoot's hand gingerly, glad to see the barbarian alive again. He has more or less recovered from the shocks that he had recieved during the day and through witnessing this wonderous ceremony.

"It is good to have thee back, Gorefoot. Thine blade and armor await thee and umm..." Ishmael pauses, hesitating before his next words. "If thou hast any questions regarding thine new form, I may be able to aid thee somewhat. Though I am not of the same race of Halfling"

Rodimus firmly shakes the hand of his newly halflinged traveling companion.

OoC: Yeah, I realise that Gorefoot prolly doesn't mind it at all, but Persephone just might. What with the sheltered life of a princess and all.

Edit - And yay for 3rd level Rodimus! Now he's as fast as a horse :D And with Power Attack, he might just actually be able to break down those nasty wooden doors that he needed the small gnome to help with previously. :p

Fasroth speaks up.

"I'm sorry to interrupt, and I don't wish to intrude on the explanation your friend desires, but I am exhausted. The ceremony has gone late into the night, and even with the ceremonial preparations the amount of energy contained in that scroll were nearly too much for me. I am off to get some sleep. You are certainly welcome to stay in my cottage for the night, though it is small and I do not have beds for everyone."

Before retiring, Fasroth cast a variety of curing spells on Gorefoot, adding a small measure of strength to his restored life.

After some additional conversation and explanation, the group rests for the night. In the morning, feeling refreshed, you consider your options. If you wish to pursue getting Feyhunter reforged, you do happen to know a mage specializing in the manufacture of magical weapons not far distant... in fact, he made two of the weapons in your current arsenal, as I expect you recall. On the other hand, should you feel it is more important to immediately pursue the Redcap, you could head back into the Faerie Woods. Finally, Fasroth has a few items available for sale should you wish to purchase something -- specifically, Potions of Druidic magic up to 2nd level spells and alchemical items of 50 gp value or less are available here.

Being a polite and caring host, Fasroth prays for more healing spells and restores the party to full health come morning. It occurs to you that unless the Redcap has access to similar magic, it may take it some time to fully recover.

Percy

"Thank you Fasroth. You've been so helpful. You'll have to let us know if there is something we can do for you. In any case, Can I ask again about my food condition? I'm unable to eat normal food after tasting the food at the faerie Lord's palace. Do you know if anything can be done about this?"

"Gentlemen. I'm not letting you guys go off and fight that redcap again. I'll not have any more deaths in the party. We need to get that sword reforged before we go back in there. We've still got nearly a month before we absolutely need to get that necklace back. No point in fighting again too early and just losing."

OOC: This is the last post for me until Sunday 7/31. Please take care of Percy for me. I'm probably entirely too fond of her considering she's an imaginary person. :)

Nars waits for Fasroth to retire as he has already been of more than enough service. He'll let Ishmael brief Gorefoot on halflingdom.

"Ah, Percy, if we can catch the redcap still, er, injured, it could be more easily defeated. Perhaps Farsoth, ah, or the thorns, know where the n-necklace takes it."

In the morning, Nars takes a deep breath. The question is important. I have to ask it. But I don't want to. Can't someone else. Maybe no one else thought of it. I hate talking. Nars swallows and takes another deep breath. "This, er, necklace this redcap has was owned by a druid, ah, what's his name, ah, Farblood or Fairblood or something. He ne, nego, ah, ... , made a peace between humans and ther fey. Fairblood used the necklace to travel, ah, back and forth, while making the treaty. The necklace can, er, teleport the wearer. Do you happen to know anything about it? Like, ah, where it teleports the, er, wearer? The redcap was, er, living in the ruins of a, ah, keep less than a day's travel into the, er, Woods. That's where we fought it. It fled, ah, using the necklace. Any idea where it is now?" His speech finished, Nars turns bright red. He stares at his feet, chewing on his lip, afraid to look up.

Before he sleeps, he uses his Prestidigitation cantrip to clean up the goo on his clothing. With some water (and in a private area), he washes his face, hair, arms and torso. A Knight has to look clean, after all.

*The Next Day*

Even with the Druid's potent curative powers, the wound upon Ishmael's forehead refuses to fully heal. It stops bleeding but it remains a crimson cut upon his brow. The Deep Halfling is troubled, but disregards the matter to focus on more important affairs.

Ishmael nods to Nars' assessment of the situation. The Fey-bane weapon is indeed a powerful weapon to have at their side. But the longer the Redcap has, the more time it has to think. Admittedly, Ishmael feels a little more hot-headed than before. It appears to him that the Redcap is the kind of evil he is trained to battle and slay: a cunning, relentless, tireless and powerful Foe.

The Deep Halfling advises his comrades to purchase potions of Curing or of some kind of protection. After all, the party did retrieve some money from the cellar. If the kindly Druid permits, Ishmael makes some purchases of his own in preparation for the upcoming battle.

OOG:
If available, Ishmael will buy:
1 Potion of Barkskin (CL3, 300gp)
1 Potion of Bull's Strength (CL3, 300gp)
2 flasks of Alchemist's Fire (20gp each)
Total: 640gp

Furthermore, he's going to retrieve some things from his mount as well as leave some other things behind.

Regarding the papers retrieved from the cellar, were there other papers besides the Reincarnation scroll? Ishmael would like to read them (or help in doing so).
