D&D 5E The Fall of Blackmoor (OOC)

Lots of different stories. Don't think I've done grubs, but done dragonfly larvae, bees, chicken brain, a whole plate of breaded fish eyeballs, beetles, dog noodles, cow stomach off the top of my head. I'm forgetting some. The only one I refuse to do again is raw chicken blood - I kept picturing how many diseases I was infecting myself with. So yeah, brings back memories of when I first left the states many years ago and friends would gleefully put something in front of me that I had never seen on a plate before. I'm well used to the strange stuff on occasion now. I remember the using the mind-over-matter trick on cow stomach - told myself it was a burger long enough to get it eaten. I tell people now if the subject comes up that I'll eat anything that used to be alive and now is dead.

Yikes. I am not that brave. ;) Were you in the military?

I'm having a mini-vacation this weekend (starting today :p) so I will not be posting until Monday. Don't let me hold you guys back; NPC my character if need be.

Starting next week, in an effort to challenge my creative muscles, I'll be doing weekly updates for each of my campaign settings.

Everything D&D Ever (which includes Fall of Blackmoor, Exodus, and Village of Hommlet) will be getting new campaign setting material every Monday. I'll try to alternate between eras, but I'll generally let my creative energy take the reins and work on whatever's fresh in my mind.

All such updates will be occurring in the Everything D&D Ever group. If you're not already a member of the group and would like to be, let me know.

Kiraya, how is Advantage in combat going to be handled? DM-side or player-side? I'm just thinking that Ngoya and Kini may (or may not) each be stealthed and/or behind cover. Advantage would give each of us Sneak Attack bonus even with ranged weapons, I believe.

If you think you have advantage, go ahead and roll twice and cite the rule (cover in this instance) so I can look it up to be sure. If I don't think it applies, then we'll just use the first roll you made.

Being hidden doesn't give advantage. It just means people need to look for you to attack you. In our case we effectively got a surprise action for the hidden PC's.

There are a few ways, like spells and using the help action or the opponent suffering from a condition. Nothing I can see here though as this is looking like a mostly ranged combat at this stage.
Hmmm. I thought attacking from hiding would do it. Same for melee then?
