D&D 5E The Fall of Blackmoor (OOC)

I don't use it myself, but I think it only works from Quick Reply not Advanced. Someone with more experience can chime in here but I found Invisible Castle to be pretty good.

Thanks Skarsgard. Does this game have a group there I can join, or is there some other way to connect my rolls at Invisible Castle with here - since the whole point of online rolls is that the rolls are made in the open where everyone can see them?

There is no confirmation mail. It works like this: You roll the dice, and post the url here. Anyone can follow the link and see what you rolled, and (if you keep using the same name there) whether you have rolled any other dice in the recent past (to avoid rolling x times and keeping the results you like).

PS. Nice stats! :)

STR 13, DEX 16, CON 14, INT 14, WIS 12, CHA 15
ok, signed up and still haven't received confirmation email. Did stats 4d6 drop one, and there they are. I'll be building my character in the other thread as I have time. Not sure how rolling over there is any proof of honest rolls though.

Stats look good. Looking over your RG post, however, I'd rather you not make a custom hybrid race from an actual mechanics standpoint. A custom background is fine, but use mechanics for half-orc or dwarf as appropriate.

In this setting, fertility between races generally only happens via magic intervention, with orc-human-elf being the exception (and even then, orcs represent a corruption of humanity similar to how drow are corrupted elves and duergar are corrupted dwarves) while elves are believed by some scholars (non-elven scholars) to be an ancient strain of humans tainted by the feywild.

hmmm, ok. I was hoping to gain the dwarf language, and maybe some kind of poison resistance. ICan I give up something of equal or greater value to get at least the language, or maybe both? I'm not a munchkin, I just get pieces of story stuck in my head - like the half-orcs in the monster manual being either half human or half dwarf. Finally got my backstory written out, tying in to things already created for your game. Could you take a look at it, then let me know?

Swapping out proficiencies and languages are not a big deal. Racial traits are just something I'm not fond of mixing and matching (for both mechanics and world-flavor reasons).

Background looks good so far and could potentially tie in to the resident gnome's background if you like. ;) There's still no explanation of how the dwarf/orc crossing resulted in a viable offspring, though. What are your thoughts on that?

I'm open to just about anything - divine, magical, or technological. Figured it to be something to drive him to explore places and cultures, as elf, dwarf, orc, and human are all tied into his backstory.

Thanks for being willing to negotiate with my muse. So how much will the dwarven language cost me? A skill, ability point, or what?
