Also, only 1/5 of the households in the US currently are nuclear families (two parents, one or more children). Single parent families are more common, which isn’t surprising since more than half of all marriages end in divorce (and that’s more likely with children). I imagine other Anglophone countries have similar numbers.
You’re right, that’s very true about single parent families. But the vast majority of divorces (85% of divorced people in the US have been divorced once; 15% have been divorced more, of which 10% are twice) are one and done, I think.

Just setting it in the 60s, with the "City of Tomorrow" vibe, is a big win in my view. And I am a huge FF fan. It's the one comic I've never stopped collecting in terms of back issues, though it's getting rather expensive now that I am only missing issues with single and double digits to their numbering.

Same, I started reading FF the John byrne as the artists back when I kid and the Thing calls back to that feel. Looking forward to the movie as a fan of the series.

A true nuclear family is a male parent and a female parent who are married and the kids are biologically theirs, so the actual percentage of US families will be even lower.
