As Chey starts her interrogation Brenwar finds reasons to be elsewhere making it obvious that even though he disproves of her methods he will not interfere with them.
The kobold's eyes bulge out in terror as it attempts to respond. "Wait, no, not true! We do everything his Emissary orders! If there is fault, it is his! But the Emissary has our master's favor. Maybe there's some mistake? Yes, maybe some treacherous worm has given you wrong information?"
"Given us the wrong information?! No slave, we have the correct information; but perhaps you are too lowly a minion to have been made aware of this plot. Where is the one that leads your band? If he has done this without his troops knowing, then he is more devious that we had given credit for."
"Speak quickly slave, or I will let Firete here loose on you; she is somewhat of an artist when it comes to torture."
OOC: A typo, sorry; I've edited my above post. Any of the rest of you guys want to jump in with some questions?
"Your honesty is winning you slight favour, but if you continue to insist on your leaders innocence and he turns out to be false..." Cheysuli lets the kobold's own imagination finish the threat. "But maybe; as you say, it is the emissary that is playing us. You realise that it was the emissary that led us to believe that the Unfaithful would be found here! Do you know where he is now? or when he is next supposed to meet with you?"
[sblock=OOC Language Issue]Did someone actually have Draconic, then? Unfortunately, Comprehend Languages is an understand only ritual, I believe affecting the caster alone - I would have needed a higher roll than I can muster at 1st level to be able to actually speak it. Though the roleplay is nice![/sblock]
[sblock=OOC/language]Cheysuli has just been speaking in common/allarian, I assume that means that the kobold can understand us, and that Yishim has been translating it's answers. One of them spoke in common during the fight didn't they?[/sblock]
OOC/Language: [sblock] If I'm remembering correctly, the one we are questioning is the one that spoke at least a little Common. Presumably it is understanding enough of Cheysuli's questions (at least the important words), and replying either in Common or in Draconic (which Yishim can translate). [/sblock]
[sblock=Language]I thought this guy was inside the ritual circle that Yishim made and that he can understand us and we him, looks like I was wrong. Maybe we should bear this in mind next time the ritual is used, as I don't think we all understood what it actually does. Looks like it's not a Babel fish.[/sblock]
