Cheysuli Sage

"Your fate has not been decided yet, but if you are loyal to me, you may yet live." Cheysuli reaches down and gently replaces the kobold's gag, "keep quiet while we talk a little."

Chey moves far enough from the lizard to talk without the creature overhearing; "So, I don't know how much information I have gotten from it that will be valuable for the fight ahead, but if we were to put it before Lord Hashtesh I am sure he would give more credence to the possibility that there is more going on here than simple raids. it seems simple minded enough that we could turn it to our cause, perhaps it will come in useful in the future, whatdo you guys think?.. By the way, do any of you know how to tell the sex of a kobold? Oh, an idle thought sorry... Shayla, would you be willing to heal it? I think that would endear us to it somewhat."

In the middle of her whispered ramblings, Chey notices the look in Brenwar's eyes and she almost sheds a tear at the paladins empathy, "Oh, Bren, I am so sorry, I did not think, it was just an act I assure you."

"I can't think we want that creature with us when we go into battle," Miranna growled. "Nothing can assure its loyalty when its friends are close at hand, and we can't afford to be distracted or worse attacked at a crucial moment. If we aren't going to just kill the beast, then we leave it here, bound, until after we've made our attack. If we win, and the threat is broken, we can see if we'll let it go or bring it back to the Lord for his mercy- and if we lose, its friends will find it and free it in time."

She paused, and looked around the group, then continued in her harsh rasping voice. "Now the larger problem. The rest of these, plus whatever leads them, are behind the shelter of that waterfall. And they know we're coming..."

Cheysuli Sage

"Miranna, no; I was not suggesting that we take it with us into the fight. I know I can be silly sometimes, but I was not thinking that!" Chey looks apologetically into the pale woman's eyes; "As for them knowing we are coming; we have been away from their lair for a while, they probably think that we did not find their hideout. If we go at this the right way, I think we will still have the element of surprise."

Firete glances warily at the kobold and lowers her voice. Perhaps, this one could be rather useful. What say we get him to draw the others out? He is tied up, we take him to where he can be seen by the others and this could encourage the others to attack. Also, the ones hidden have not seen all of us, neither Miranna nor I have been in the sight of the waterfall. Some of us could lie in wait among the trees and surprise them that way.

"Yes I know it was an act but it still troubles me that you so easily lie about such things. Either way I do not support using this kobold, we should bring it to justice. So we kill it here in the field or we take it back to town for them to do as they see fit."

"I know that we have only known each other a little while, some even less," Cheysuli gives a little nod to Yishim and Firete, "But I know that you Bren, Shayla, and many who live outside of the 'Wilds worship the gods, and that these gods define what is good and what is bad. But you must understand that I am not of those gods, or those definitions. I am of nature, and nature is what it is; both truthful and deceitful in the same word, both giving and taking in the same moment. It was easy for me to lie because in lying I was telling the truth, and in telling the truth I lie. But I respect your ways, and I will avoid putting on such a show in front of you from now on."

"As for the kobold there, I vote we double check it's bindings and leave it here while we storm the nest, we can come back for it after. I would not like to kill it while it is our captive; it is no threat to us and it could as yet benefit our cause."
