The Land of the Seven Realms: Opening Moves

"Thanks," Kintys says to Gwyn, then immediately points her finger at the man with the crossbow. "Igneo!" she shouts as a gout of flame leaps from her finger toward him.

She immediately ducks behind Gwyn and her cover and grabs at the gash in her arm. "Those blades--they were poisoned."

Thanks for your help, Tamna; I think we got most of them.

As Kintys launches her spell, the man in the window tries to duck, but isn't fast enough. He screams as the fire burns into him, and drops out of sight.

Ranged Touch Attack Roll: (roll 14 + 2 = 16) Hit

Finger of Flame 1d6 + 10 (roll 6 + 10 = 16)

Heh, at this point we drop out of combat, as the group has run out of foes.

Carry on from here.

Seeing no more enemies around, but knowing there are more outside, Taem steps over the cloven body of his previous assailant and opens the door, stepping out in to the cool night air an on to the charred corpses of two more assailants. His senses perked, he scans the surrounding area.

Taem sees one man to his left lying smoking on the ground, and one to his right, standing rigid as a statue.

There is no one else in sight.

The man's swordbelt serves as a convenient binding method. Tragus follows Taem out, still mumbling something unkind about rogues and elves.

OOC: Ack, that was fast! If we are moving out of combat it was my intention for Smiles to immediately run out of the inn after the transformation, yelling in his best imitation of the merchant's voice "The serpent take them! We have failed!". (If he is following others out who are leisurely walking around this obviously won't work.) If Smiles doesn't see anyone he will run 100' down the side of the road heading towards town, and wait off the side of the road to see if anyone makes contact with him. After getting a decent distance from the inn he will start stumbling, clutching his head and acting as if he is injured.

Kintys winces as she feels the poison penetrating. "Gwyn, wasn't it? Thanks again. If you have a chance, you could probably do a better job than I at binding this. You might be able to keep the poison from making me any weaker than I already feel.

"I do want to check that poison out, though. I'd like to know what we're facing."

OOC: I'm not sure how you adjudicate Alchemy checks, Morwyld, but Kintys will want to try to identify that poison. She'll also be getting ready to check each of the fallen out with detect magic unless someone better than her at searching starts looting them.

The quickest way that Kintys sees to check that poison is by examining the Kukri on the floor. It still has the poison on the blade.
