Does anyone remember the video game Star Wars: Bounty Hunter? I just remembered that Jango's first ship looked a lot like the Razor Crest. And it was destroyed. Perhaps Mando will now get a cool ship like the Slave One.

What?! The Razor Crest was totally cool! My jaw literally dropped when it blew up, which is not something my jaw normally does. (I'm a jaw clencher by nature.)

He needs to "rebuild" it with Beskar plating. I was also surprised, but they needed some way to have the Slave 1 be in the show a bit more, by literally having Mando on it.

Good point.

So what are people thinking re: the final two episodes for this season? Next episode will see Mando breaking Mayfield out of prison. (Will Mayfield still have / be able to retrieve his droid arm blaster?) I don't expect that to take up much of the episode, so after that Mando, Boba, Fennec, Mayfield and maybe some others will track down Moff Gideon's ship. Then for the final episode, we see them boarding the ship, searching for and rescuing Grogu, and maybe also having a showdown with Gideon - darksaber vs beskar spear.

Cara is now an official representative of the New Republic. Will she jeopardize her new job to help Mando, or will she sit this one out? It's fun seeing her doing action stuff, so it would be a shame if she chooses not to help.

Whoever felt Grogu's presence in the Force may also make an appearance, but it may only be a cameo at the end a la Luke in the Force Awakens.

I predict that we won't see Bo-Katan or Ahsoka again this season. Bo-Katan's story will likely continue next season, while Ahsoka may get her own show (which would be exciting) or show up again next season. EDIT: Actually, I suppose Mando and his team could run into / recruit / join up with Bo-Katan and her team to take on Gideon in the finale. I still don't think we'll see Ahsoka again, though.

Ashoka has been looking for Thrawn (and Ezra) for 11 years now.

I have a sneaking suspicion she got Mando to use Grogu as a lure to try and locate Ezra for her.

I reckon it wont be too long until Ezra shows up; and Ashoka wont be far away.

That's the great unknown.

My money on Mando vs Gideon Beskar spear vs Darksaber. After Mando suicide squad.

A reveal after that for season 3. Expect s cliffhanger.

Yeah, as I've said upthread, I think Ezra is the most likely contender for being the Jedi who responds to Grogu's Force call. However, I'm not convinced they can wrap up both Mando's plotline and tie up the loose ends left over from Rebels in just two 30-50 minute episodes. At least not in a satisfying way. But I am happy to be proven wrong!

I feel fairly certain that if we see Ezra (or whoever it's going to be), it'll just be a surprise teaser, like how the darksaber was last season.

I'm still worried that Mando has left his jetpack behind on Tython, given that he's not wearing it when he goes to visit Cara at the end of the episode. However, I went back and looked at the scenes of him from episode 4 when he discovers that fish guy is working for Karga, and he's not wearing it then either, so maybe he just leaves it behind when he goes into town on Nevarro.
