That Force storm thing is from Legends. One of the Palpatine clones did it in a novel or comic IIRC.

In the movie, he does it after sucking up Ben's and Rey's life force. That might have let him do an empowered Force lightning. Or maybe "all of the Sith" helped him out.

I can see how projecting yourself halfway across the galaxy could prove fatal in comparison, though.

It was dumb in legends as well.

When you turn the force up to 11 it makes it hard to tell future stories.

If you use the force to blow up a fleet where do you go from there? Planet, star, system etc.

Don't forget he also force choked Cara Dune in the 1st season when she started beating Mando at arm wrestling.
I had actually forgotten that. It would be a massive twist if Grogu falls to the dark side and was actually the one manipulating Palpatine all along... Though I still think that might be Darth Jar Jar.

Also, I think sucking out someone else's life would take energy, not empower you. Otherwise, you would be able to do that all the time.
Nevertheless, it did empower him. Didn't you see how it healed up his body? It only worked because of the whole Force dyad thing.

I don't think we'll see "Darth Grogu". It would be too upsetting for most fans, I think. Yeah, sure, I personally think it would be an interesting twist, but this is Disney we're talking about.

He's a scared and angry kid who needs guidance, which I think he will get in the form of whoever answers his call on Tython.

Yes, by the time of his death, Yoda was somewhere in his 900s. But reading that official timeline I linked to earlier, it has Yoda already training new Jedi around the time he was in his 90s. So if Grogu is in his 50s, he has, by his species' standards, some "quick" maturing and learning and training to do.
Perhaps Grogu is 50 years old chronologically, but not biologically? Perhaps the "dark period in his memory" that Ahsoka discussed was from being in some form of stasis? Cryogenics? Carbonite? Force stasis? etc.
That bit was hilarious because he's so tiny but totally messed up those storm troopers.
"Judge me by my size, do you?"

Give the same basic ideas to Filoni and Favreau, and let them do the entire trilogy, and you’d have had soemthing to really genuinely rival the OT as a trilogy.

Perhaps, if they get decent writers this time. The problem with setting up Snoke and the Emperor, is that J J Abrams didn't think through where the plot was going. Just a bunch of loose mysteries, with the idea to make it all up as he goes along... which is a terrible idea. A lesson we already learned with Lost, which was also a giant mess.

I can see Filoni and Favreau doing a trilogy, if someone writes them a proper story that spans 3 movies, instead of only one that has a ton of unanswered loose ends.
