Hypothetical: I could, except she wouldn't believe me.

Edit: Nevertheless, this now brings up puzzling questions about Mando, what would his hypothetical spouse say?
He is not a merry man. His hypothetical spouse would not imagine him having fun at a bar, because as we see, he doesn’t.

My way is better. I tell her I’m going to a pub, and she says “see you there!” And vice versa.
Agreed. With the addition that it’s also nice when one’s spouse sometimes says, “I’m going out to [bar”], and one says “oof, have fun. I am not a person tonight. Be careful and let me know when you need a ride home.” And they’re like, “okay love you bye!”

Seriously life is awesome for me right now, but the best part by far is having a wife who trusts me, knows I trust her, and who doesn’t try to force me to engage socially when I don’t want to. It’s the best!

I probably should have written a review of episode 7 right after I watched it, when it was still fresh in my head. But here goes...

I like that we finally get to see a crew of sorts. Finally Mando teams up with other characters, giving them much more to talk about. The episode also finally sets up a main villain. A bit late, but welcome all the same.

However, the messy writing is still all over this episode, which is a shame.
Mando agreeing to walk into an obvious trap and not even considering the fact that it clearly is a trap, bothers me.

The random bat creatures attacking seemed like a cheap way to insert the force healing scene, which admittedly was a good scene, but the way the plot lead up to it was not. And why would the villains not immediately check if Mando actually brought the child?

He knew it was a trap and talked about it with the rebel woman(I'm horrible with names). She asks him what he is going to do about it and he says he's bringing her. He didn't plan it very well from all appearances, but he did consider that it was a trap.

Just watched episode 8. What a way to finish off the season!

I hope we eventually find out what happened to the Mandalorians between their portrayal at the start of the Rebellion era (as seen in Rebels) and their portrayal in this show.

The Siege of Mandalore happened at the end of the Clone Wars, so before the events of Rebels. While it appears they lost the planet Mandalore itself, they still had a thriving culture on several other planets.

The Empire must have hunted them down and eliminated them shortly after the events of Rebels.

Nevertheless, it still doesn’t really feel like enough time has passed for them to have developed a whole new culture based around the Creed that involves almost religious / mystical elements (such as never taking off your helmet, referring to a jet pack as a “rising Phoenix” and so on).

The show also depicts Mandalorians rescuing Din during the Clone Wars and raising him as a foundling — that must be a long-running aspect of Mandalorian culture that we just haven’t seen before.

Also, sadly, I expect Bo-Katan must be dead, since Sabine gave the darksaber to her at the end of Rebels, and she now clearly no longer has it .... 😥

It was awesome to see the darksaber in live action!

Also, that now sets things up for a future season in which Din claims the darksaber after defeating Moff Gideon and then uses it to bring the Mandalorians back out of hiding. Or something ....

Mandalorian Knights 2.0 with Baby Yoda as force wizard.

So, there was some lighthearted comedy, which didn't distract.

"Do the magic hand thing" waves hand
* Baby Yoda waves hand back*
I'm out of ideas.

The troopers at the start, that was good.

You know, it takes real skill to open with a Stormtrooper comedy skit featuring Baby Yoda being punched repeatedly. Kudos Taika (I guess it shouldn’t come as a surprise, since he made a heartwarming Hitler movie).
